During a time of juggling family and social obligations, sometimes, somewhere, we arrange some quality alone time with our significant others. This article brought a smile to my face this year.

"The Christmas-New Year's period produces a year-high spike in sexual activity and conceptions in the United States, according to biorhythm researchers and makers of sex-related products.

They attribute the increase to holiday leisure and New Year's resolutions to have children. New Year's irresolution fueled by alcohol and partying is another contributing factor.

"Right before New Year's Eve is our highest sales peak," said David Johnson, group product manager for Trojan brand condoms, the leading U.S. seller.

As expected, the holiday urge surge also expresses itself as a peak in U.S. births in September, according to David Lam of the University of Michigan's Population Studies Center in Ann Arbor."

Two of my 3 brothers were born in late september. Guess my parents really enjoyed the holidays.

ah, so that's what my parents were doing to pass the time all those holidays! no wonder they preferred to stay home. i have two siblings born the last week of august/first week of september.

couldn't understand why the folks preferred staying home rather than going out to parties. mom always complains about not going places, except during the holidays. go figure! always knew my folks were horn dogs, just never thought about it, lol!!
