Where the hell is Katy?
Just west of Houston.

Actually,no, I don't. I have Texas Monthly's authoritative guide to Texas, but I'm feeling lazy. Probably named after the Katy Freeway.

I have no picks.  I like the Steelers, of course.  And I really like the Eagles since McNabb was benched and has come back with a vengeance.  I think they are probably riding the best peak coming in to the playoffs, just from an emotional standpoint alone, after handing it to Dallas.

All I know is....I love the pah, pah, pahlayoffs!

You're sticking with the Las Vegas odds makers. If Pennington leads MIA to the SB, I think JETS fans might become suicidal.

"Mangini's tendency to emphasize minutiae with players during weekly game preparation didn't fly with a headstrong quarterback notorious for having shaky study habits."

I'll pick the New York Giants over the Tennessee Titans, 24 - 17.

I had no idea who was favored in the playoffs, but I guess I'm glad to hear that the experts see things my way.

And yes, it became very clear over the course of the season that Mangini was getting frustrated with Favre.

I enjoyed the sideline shots of Mangini after Favre would throw a pick.  It was all "wtf is he doing?"

Well my SB pick has already bombed. I never should have picked the Colts given their lack of a running game, but I was just very enamored with Peyton Manning's MVP regular season performance.

The flee flicker play wherein Warner hit Larry Fitzgerald was a thing of beauty.

Darren Sproles redeemed his endzone fumble. At least each SD turnover was committed while going for the endzone, and as good at they played, SD was lucky to win the coin toss in OT.

Hey, cloudboy, I would have told you there was no chance in hell that SD would beat Indy.  So we both goofed.

Well, SD improved its defensive play, and Darren Sproles turned in a memorable, pocket-rocket performance.

IND, on the other hand, has no running game whatsoever. One need only think how PHI and Donovan McNabb fair w/o Brian Westbrook in the lineup. From the same page, Matt Ryan was forced to press when Michael Turner was shut down.

The very fact that Mr. Mangini couldn't coach a team to THEIR abilities; instead, he was dictatorial enough to turn a hall-of-fame quarterback into a mere shadow of what Chad Pennington was is enough to make this JETS fan "football-suicidal". I never wanted Mr. Favre here.

As of the 1-4 collapse at the end of the season, I am a Phish fan.

Releasing Pennington and taking Favre was one of those decisions that I will never understand.  Evidently Mangini was deep enough into it for it to have cost him his job.

Well, at the time it was easy to see what they were thinking.  Pennington looked like shit last year.  Back in August, I thought the move was great and would improve the Jets' chances mightily.  I thought they might even win eight games!

Then Favre turned in one of the worst seasons of his career.

Now you will get to see what Sproles can do against a real run defense!

I'm ready to have a love fest with Joe Flacco.  And I do not like the Ravens.  Not one bit!
