I am dying for 2008 to be over with.  Seriously, it had to be the worst year of my life.....My daughters mother died, and my sons best friend was kidnapped by his mother (we are still searching).....the sooner the better....I figure next year has got to be better...I dont think it could get much worse.....

It seems I always feel this way, though the years always bring blessings too. I have alot of goals for next year, I hope I can accomplish them---no I WILL accomplish them as it will put us in better stead for 2010.

2008 was a pretty crappy year, five surgeries on the same foot and it's still not right.  problems with the kids, 2 of 3 of my sisters in serious car accidents, job losses and other stuff.   it's been a lousy year.  i'm praying for a better 2009, everyone i know could use a really good year or three.  i wish all of CM a healthy, happy and prosperous new year.

2008 wasn't really notable for much in my world, a kind of nothing year, then again in some ways that is a good thing. Not really looking forward to 2009 because I know it's going to be hard, work wise. Hopefully we will all get through it jobs in tact etc. doubtful though. No holiday planned in 2009 either which normally gets me through the winter months daydreamwise.

This year has been a mixed bag for me.  Professionally I am doing what I love to do for the first time and that is teaching; however, I am a victim of the economy seeing that it has been difficult to get a full time job.  There are no guarantees as teachers are being laid off in some areas of my state.  So, I am going to try to resolve to be a better substitute teacher next year in the hopes that I just might be hired for the next school year.

As far as relationships go, I am single but I cannot complain because I have no drama.  However, I lead a boring life which I hope I can try to balance that area for the next year.

Hey, we can all hope for a happy year.

Pretty interesting year for me. I'm not itching for it to end or anything... not like the 2009 fairy comes around to change everything around for you.

I should say that 2008 was the worst year ever but it had some good things too. I have been sick since April and had a brain tumour removed in July. I am still bald from the whole brain radiotherapy I received as follow up treatment and this is not the time of year to have no hair.

But despite all that huge amounts of wonderful things have come from it. You get to find who your friends really are and how much support you get from the most surprising areas. It has also brought Master and I so much closer and I have seen what a truly wonderful human being he really is. His support has been amazing, putting up with my constant sleeping and snoring, hair loss, and memory issues all made the more amazing by the fact that his first wife/sub died from the same illness.

So whatever bad things happen to you in your life there is always something good to outweigh the bad.

It was a good year.

I had to economize a lot during the summer, which affected my camping plans.
(I live in the city, and to me it's important to get out in the woods or the desert in the summer. It's something I value a lot.)

So I hope to make up for that this year with a little more concentrated effort and planning.
It's the one area in which I feel I need to work harder at making things happen, and to overcome my tendency to take it easy too often.

I had a good year in 2008. I wouldn't complain if it repeated itself for the rest of my life.

2008 sucked on toast for me. My Dad died, the economy crashed fleeceing me out of thousands, my nephew is still in harms way overseas thanks to a pack of lies our "fearless leader" told us. Bettie Page, Beverly Garland, Eartha Kitt and Forry Ackerman all passed away. Gas prices soared, but came down only after the economy had serious damage done to it. My brother is breaking up with his wife after ten years of marriage.

Although we elected a good man to office, that malignant little weasel is still in the office for another 20 fucking days. About the only thing he can do to make things worse would be to start the final battle between God and Satan, IMO.

So long 2008. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out!

2008 was a bad year for me, following an work injury in July 07 I have become increasingly disabled from chronic pain, I have not worked since February and am suffering poverty pangs and boredom and social isolation...

I made a decision to take back control of my life a few weeks ago and have started legal action to attempt to gain loss of income and pain and suffering payments so hopefully the bone grinding poverty will lessen. The chronic pain?? well here's hoping, it is such a strange thing to have pain every day, every step I take, even resting is painful and I don't like the drugs.....

Yes, I am going to make 2009 a better year for me and mine.

The only thing I wish to say goodbye to, if ever it could happen, is an end to this war between  Palestine and Israel

Many aspects of time are illusions, I am already celebrating 2009!
The only time any of us have is right now.

But then I am strange like that!

Time to get the partying started!!

Happy New Year to everyone!

2008 was much better then 2007 which was terrible.  Loss of Mother and loss of marriage.
2009 promises to be even better.
