How would one do it, what special equipment would be needed and what sites would you host it at

Well, ok...yes I did

anyway...there's a program that you can use...I will have to look and see what it is again...that makes movies for online use...takes videos and turns them into those for online, etc...let me look and see if I can find the link for you.

As to where you could host it...well, any place will host it as long as its within their TOS.

try this site. their applications are great...it's what I use...not sure of free applications though, might have to do a larger search

How user friendly is the software? I bought myself a mini dvd cam for my birthday last year. Last Christmas a recordable dvd for the house. This Christmas Doug bought me a dvd-rw for the computer.
Well, bottom line is I want to edit (professionally if possible) my own dvds I make to distribute to the family at large.

Personally, I love it. You can auto transfer straight from the cam to the computer, and it comes with video editing software. All you need are the cables and the card that for hook up.
