This resolution started a while ago, but I'm deffinitely going to make it a part of the new year and the rest of my life. I have resolved to stand up for myself more and not let myself be taken advantage of because of other people's selfishness, carelessness, or obliviousness. Whether it is people cutting in front of me in line, teachers playing favorites, or dominant personalities in the lifestyle or otherwise overstepping the bounds of ethics and courtessey. I have a tendency to think that the polite and/or easy thing to do is just ignore it and give them the benefit of the doubt, but it ends up making me feel used and damaging my self esteem, so I'm putting an end to it.
