The article was written in January. But I find myself not busy and bored, so I came across this. I found it fascinating. A lot of inventions meant for warfare have found other beneficial uses. But past nuclear testing being beneficial for disproving art forgery takes the cake.

It would be better than the current carbon dating system, which has misdated many objects.

If a canvas was exposed to fire and smoke, the dating is off, such as the shroud of Turin.

Written records refer to the shroud at the time of Constantine, but carbon dating shows it only to be 700+/- years old.
