ORIGINAL: lusciouslips19 Well yes, animals dont talk back or tell you what they think about you. Humans are a challenge. So are most animals. If you believe otherwise, then you've not spent much time around them. They are also honest and most want to please. Animals also communicate very well. Just without words and again, more honestly. A stranger comes to my house, I guarantee I can tell you, within minutes, how every one of my animals feel about them. Humans are usually full of their own agenda, they often lie, and rarely is it about anything but them. Regardless of how they dress it up. Obviously not all, but most. I am not condoning abandoning people over animals. I am just saying I understand why people are more empathetic with animals. They are purely innocent. Aside from a small child, few humans are. Most humans are in a bad place because of poor choices on their part. Animals are usually in a bad place because of poor choices of humans, not their own. I know very much about animals and had a father and son team. One for 11 years, the other for 15. They were wonderful but hard work. They died within 4 months of each other. There is no room for showing my submission to a pet or i am a goner. i had animals my whole life. But they no way compare to the love for my child or the challenge of stimulating conversation with people. But then again, I am an extrovert. i am intuitive and understand animals and appreciate them. I am going through a phase that I am glad I am not the caretaker at this point. Well except for my upstairs neighbor. Take care of them when she goes out of town for a few days. i help her out with her dog and cat. I get the dose I need without the full responsibility.
