Monday morning- very early- Master and I will be loading up the car with two teens and various luggage and munchies and heading up to South Carolina. We'll be visiting with His family for two days and then...............
Off to Parris Island where we'll watch the oldest um graduate to claim the Title of United States Marine!!!
I am so proud and so miss him and so much a big puddle of mommy waterworks.
Master has loaded the car up with tissues in preparation!
I'm still in shock- this man, this MARINE - born to a girl who travelled in Central America for Witness for Peace in the 80's; born of a long line of lefty, pacifist jews; born to the fifth generation of a prophesy that said no male in the bloodline would see combat (and no one has). This is my son. He makes his own path; follows his own drummer. He's a great drummer, yet skips the rock shows and buys tickets to the Ballet. He plays beer-pong, yet doesn't drink. He's a crack shot and earned an expert rating on the rifle range at boot camp. For all my confusion in where this unique person came from, I am just so proud of the man he is becoming.
I want to thank all the wonderful people here who have given me so much support- from his burst appendix last April (when he went into sepsis and was in intensive care) to his H.S. graduation in May to his leaving for boot camp- I have come on this 'kinky' site and found friendship, love, support, caring and laughter.
