Ooooh... I just couldn't resist creating the 1000th thread to Ask A Mistress. Do I win a prize? ... lol

Anyway... on the profile side of this site, I recently sent a message to a Domme. My mail system shows that she retrieved the message yesterday, but her profile shows that she hasn't been on-site since the middle of December.

What's up with this? Is this a new trick you Ladies have learned to further frustrate us poor malesubs here? ...

Don't foget it's the holidays. She just could have been really busy. Trying to get shopping done, mixed with work and family affairs kick in. As well maybe she went on vacation? Never make assumptions.

Oh dang, is someone letting out all our secrets?

subfever, are you sure you're checking the same name (s) (the one you contacted via the original profile while checking the last date online, and the other, for the person you sent an e-mail to? Maybe it's off a letter, and you contacted the wrong person? Just a thought.

I've not had such issues with conflicting info myself.,.at least not info directly from the CM site...now if ya wanna talk about conflicting info given from subs...the thread won't be long enough.

LadyJC, I think you missed his question. His email to the lady was opened, but her profile shows she has NOT been online.

I think the assumption here is the system has a glitch.

I'm not positive, but I think there is a way to get messages delivered to an alternate email account, so perhaps she read it from there.

Be well,
Julie

Does anyone here know how to do this trick?

I'm absolutely sure that I'm checking the same name!

And I saw this happen once before with a different Lady.

I have no idea how that was achieved outside of a moderator with access to emails opening an email, but anything is possible.

I would love to learn such a neat trick though. M

Ya mean like assuming this was another "why hasn't she written me yet" thread....

I'm not sure about this one, but I've been experiencing problems with the messaging as well - users report to me (in chat) that they haven't recieved any of my messages, even though my "sent" box shows that they've recieved AND read the messages. Since this seems to be happening with more than one person, I assume there's a glitch in the server...at the moment, I'm waiting patiently for a reply from support.

I looked in the mail "options", and you can apparently have a message sent to indicate that you have mail at CollarMe. I don't think this is related to the issue you described.

Hmm... that would plausibly explain it.

Please update us after you receive a reply from support.

Indeed you can have a message from CM forwarded to your addy indicating that you have mail waiting for you here.

I've been using that feature since Day 1.

I read this post and didn't think much about it....till today. I sent mail to someone, even got a reply to the mail this morning. Mailed out a reply and have the confimation that it was read. However, according to collarme, that person hasn't been online today at all.

Methinks there is a glitch in the system.
