I have a novel idea. How about balancing the damn budget and trimming the pork before anymore tax cuts.

Orion,
What is curious is why was President Bush vilified for a $300 Billion deficit; and in announcing a Trillion Dollar deficient PE Obama is applauded?

Point to hypocrisy, individual or party generated, is a fetish of mine and I anticipate a virtual banquet of opportunity being presented; Iraq decisions, special interests, insiders; damn.

Didn't notice the move for the Presidential nomination. THANKS, and yes beth would make for a FANTASTIC 'First Lady' and I bet there already is a dungeon in the White House where VP Chaney or someone demonstrates and/or practices their torture techniques. However, I don't think there is a majority who would vote to have to be self sufficient. Just look how that concept is responded to here.

Besides funding would be a problem. Can't anticipate any PAC money coming in from special interests, Unions, or any industry either looking to be, as Owner says, wet nursed as promised by the incoming administration. Every failure needs to have their tit source cut off! How many votes will that get me?

Unlike PE Obama; you really have to hand it to him  - he's already assured of 600,000 more votes coming for 2012 from the new bureaucrats he's promised; and that's just the first batch. His appointments show he's loyal to the people responsible for getting him there; even CNN gets an 'in-house' insider. Industry and the unions can feel comfortable going forward 'status quo' to President Bush's bail-out plans. Not many fresh faces other than one appointed by a recorded corrupt Governor. Same old, same old...

No wonder that the Stock Market continues to plunge. No confidence and a $1 Trillion promise, not just for this year but "...for years to come."! Granted a BIG change - just like the silence about how bad it is to put the burden of paying that promised debt on our children. What a difference a party affiliation is for some - huh?
