Status: offline 		i'm sure there are threads on this! but i want my own! i just had my clit pierced (yes yes i'm annoucing it.. i'm thrilled) So i am sooooooo interested in others experiences. Best, worst piercings? Piercings you never thought you'd do, but have now because of a Master Mistress?

Anyone else had their clit pierced? Now i'm sure Master knows all the answers to my next questions, but i LOVE having my own info on things Any special tips on them? Special after care? (other then the info i already have from Master which is wash every day and use this antibiotic cream) The cleaning he will prolly do, so i'm not completely concerned about that. Just very interested in what others have to say about it!

Status: offline 		sorry i can answer any of your questions as we only do play piercings. i do have a few of my own tho. your acctual clit and not the clit hood? i've always heard that having the clit done could do nerve damage. i'm thinking that's not the case with you,right?

Status: offline 		I have both nipples, belly button and my clit hood done. I never would have thought a year ago that I would have anything pierced! Master didn't insist on any of them, I just wanted to do them to please Him.
My clit hood I just had done 2 weeks ago, I just use a bottle filled with water to wash it off at night, since my shower in the morning cleans it then, and then I use a anti bacterial wash. Its never given me a problem and looks like I don't really need to do anything to it now.
My belly button was the worse. The lady who did it lost the hole the first time she pierced it. So then I had to stand there and watch her try to find the hole again with a different needle, I never flinched, but she thought for sure I would pass out or something. It did hurt like hell, but nothing that would make me pass out.
None of them hurt like I thought they would. And I'm very proud of all of them. Don't know what I'll think of them when I'm 80, but I guess I'll worry about that then!!

A mate of mine hooked up with a chick one night and they were about to engage in some extracurricular activities when my mate went down under... She QUICKLY had to ull her head back up and insist the chick go to the doctor!!

The chick had a clitpiercing with a chain to her bellybutton, and because of pulling from the chain and probably bad hygiene the piercing had gotten infected... The girl thought it was fjne and a normal part of healing and hadn't taken care of it...

When she finally, after the meeting with my friend, went to a gyno he freaked out..

She had developed GANGRENE on her clit and ruined it forever!!!

Status: offline 		I have my outer labia pierced, each side of my clit -my piercer (who was voted no.1 in Toronto by NOW magazine several years in a row) said she strongly discourages clit piercings, althougth has no issue with the hood - she says there is a very good chance they will ruin sensation and kill nerves and further, are very, very prone to ongoing infections.

Be VERY careful and give yourself a LONG time to heal - it takes lots and lots of time - even my outer labia ones took months and even now I have to be careful not to pull or pinch too much.

Sea salt solution (several teaspoons of sea salt in a solution of warm, boiled water) is an excellent cleanser and should be done several times a day - DO NOT use a topical cream like polysporin as that keeps the incision damp and you want it to dry up.

I know that with my labia piercings there was to be NO oral sex for 4 months - the mouth is full of bacteria and regular sex could happen after a month but then you had to rinse.

I love piercings and tattoos. Just with the Owner would let me get more :) Congrats to you!

I had my nipples peirced for 9 months, but due to the fact that they basically never healed, and slowly rejected I took them out. I'm sad I lost them, but glad I didnt' damage my nipples in the process.

I also have my lip peirced and various slightly stretched peircigns in my ears.

You probably got all this info from your peircer, but these are the things that were most important to me.

DO do sea salt soaks fairly often (3-4 times a day) and sea salt -rinses- after using the bathroom. Don't soak more than that though, or you can irritate the peircing.

DON'T overdo the amount of salt. Look at BMEzine or call your peircer as to the correct amount. You're going for mimicing the body's salinity to float away dirt/bacteria/ickyness without shocking the peircing. more is NOT better.

DO wait untill you're -totally- healed to have sex. I know it's sucky, but the more you mess with the peircing, the less likely you are for it to heal properly. (This meant oral sex was out, with my lip ring, for a few weeks :( )

DO NOT BE AFRAID TO TAKE IT OUT, but don't take it out if it's infected.!!!! If there are problems, if you see it start to reject, take it out. If you get persistant infections, go to the doctor. Don't take a ring out of an infected peircing as it can trap the infection inside the hole and cause -more- problems.

DO NOT use neosporin/antibiotic cream. For the reason Selkie mentioned, but also because you aren't supposed to put creams on puncture wounds. A peircing is basically a big punture, and with those types of wounds, you do NOT want to cut off oxygen to the inside of the wound. I occationally use neosporin with my lip, but ONLY a tiny bit that I rotate through the peircing and ONLY if it's starting to get infected. In general, avoid stuff like that like the plauge. (Your peircer should have told you this, IMHO)

DON'T wear tight clothing over it. I think this is oone thing that contributed to my nipples rejecting. I had to wear a bra every day, which put pressure on the rings/barbells and eventually made them start to migrate.

I can't stress enough DO NOT FEEL BAD IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT OUT! You can always get it redone and losing the ring without causing problems is 100% better than damaging your body. It isn't a failure if it gets infected or something goes wrong. That's a spot that's prone to problems.

Status: offline 		My piercer swears by this to use after you cleanse it. Its called Band-Aid "hurt free" Cleansing + Infection protection Foam. You can get it at Wal-Mart or any drug store. It has worked very good for all of mine. It isn't a ointment or cream, which aren't good for a piercing. It just foams up and doesn't hurt at all.

Thanks Perverseangelic, that was pretty informative. i've this ani bacterial rinse i usually just for boo boo's, but i suppose it'll be better for this. i WAS using a cream, a bacitracin ointment. Though only after i got it, as i just got it last night. Havent heard of using sea salt.... Does it hurt? Cos my cooter isnt up for any more pain any time soon! As for taking it out! if it come out its NEVER going back in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heh it HURT. Oh my. What i got was the actual clit pierced. LOL i got the healing time down pat. My little clit has had enough pain to last a lifetime, and really for the first time in my life wants no attention, absolutely NONE! i think it got scared and has run away. It might be back in 6 months.

So far to date its my 5th piercing, not counting ears. Had my eye brown down, my belly and both nips. Tho i have taken the eyebrow and the belly out. But i'm gonna have that redone. Prolly the eyebrow one too. that was kind of interesting too, as the pierce went half way through and said, "you've seem to have abit of scar tissue there, hold on" As he crammed it the rest of the way through. And i LOOOOOOOOVE tats! Prolly more so then piercings!

Hey, i heard the lip (on the vagina) hurt more then the clitoris piercing. Is that true?

Status: offline 		Sea salt stings a little bit sometimes, but if the solution is the right mixture it shouldn't more than a bit.

I'm quite surprised your peircer didn't tell you that, it's one of the best things you can use on a new peircing. H2Ocean is supposed to be pretty good too, but that's basically a pre-made sea salt soak, so I'd rather do my own. Make sure you get non-iodized salt though.

Don't use bactrine unless there's some serious infection, IMHO. Do salt soaks 2 or 3 times a day, and a salt rinse followed by a fresh water rinse after anything that could contaminate the peircing.

To tell the truth, most peircers I've talked to say that it's a really bad idea to get your clitoris peirced, because of the propensity toward nerve damage. I know the clit hood and triangle are even risky in terms of placement. What did your peircer tell you about risks and healing?

Heh, I hear you on the "if it gets taken out it's not going back in" thing. My nipples were that way. They hurt SO BAD. I was really sad to retire them b/c I know I couldn't do it again.

Status: offline 		I had my clit pierced for about an hour and a half on my eighteenth birthday. It made me realize the hard way that I'm a bleeder. It wouldn't quit bleeding, so I had it taken out. It would have been fun.

My favorite piercing was probably my eyebrow. I loved it. It didn't bleed, it didn't hurt, it was very low maitenance and it looked great on me. I also had my nose, belly button, and ears (four in each) pierced. It was my coffeehouse phase. It looked nice, but I outgrew it. The only one I still have is my bellybutton (which needs to come out soon anyway, or it'll pop out when I start showing more).

And I regard nipple and navel piercings as just plain mindless vandalism! <gasp>

IMO, the best thing about all piercings is that, unlike those awful tattoos, they're readily discarded.... Ear lobes only, thankyou!

Status: offline 		I had both my nipples pierced a couple of months ago. I know that I can take a certain level of pain, but having both pierced one after the other hurt like a bitch. But I have no regrets and love how my breasts look. It has not healed completely but I cannot wait.

I use sea salt water to cleanse the nipples and nothing else. In the shower I make sure that I rinse thoroughly the soap suds.

Next body mod is a tattoo. Not sure what though.

Status: offline 		I used regular table salt in a solution of warm water- the table salt has iodine in it (iodized salt) which did a great jobof disinfecting and washed gently with castille soap at least once but usually twice a day, gently turning the barbell and loosening any crust and then rinsing gently, no neosporin stuff, nothing like that!! My clit hood healed well enough that in about 2-3 weeks I was comfortable have sex, though we were still very careful about it for another month or so. My belly button took over a year to be so well healed in that I could wear any pants and not worry that it was going to get irritated by anything I did ever. I think my clit hood healed even faster than my tongue, though I was still careful and gentle with it for several months. Now I've had it longer than I can remember- going on 10 years now- no trouble but That was all I did to heal it, warm water and iodized salt in a shot glass held up against me so that it could soak then in the shower gently wash with the castille and move the ring around, nothing else ever.

The only piercing I've had (my outer labia) hurt like a bitch and a bastard getting them done so I'm not in a rush for more outer labia piercings (which my owner is interested in and potentially nipple piercings).

Since I'm a diabetic I was very careful around healing and had absolutely no complications. I used a medical grade soap called provon along with towel paper to wash myself in the shower and I would use a sea salt and ionized water to soak my piercings. One of the things that helped a lot though was making sure that when I went to the bathroom that I peed directly onto the piercings. I also didn't have sex for probably over a month and they took probably six months to heal completely (on the outside and the inside).

I love the way the outer labia piercings look but in many ways it was much more of a pain than the brand and hurt a LOT more than the brand and than anything I've ever felt in my life (while the needle was going through and the jewelry went through - the healing was fine and I had an awesome piercer).

Status: offline 		I have my nipples, my belly buttona and my outer labia pierced. I agree with wildfleurs; it hurts something bad. And my outer labias bled profusely, which was embarrassing on the way home. My labia pericings are placed very close to my vaginal opening, so they can used for chastity purposes. Not as asthetically pleasing, but a great feeling when a little lock is threaded through them.

Status: offline 		I have my hood and right nipple done. The nipple took 3 times to quit rejecting. I hate pain, hate it; and it was torture getting that re-done. I'd go through it again in an instant. ;)

The hood I had done twice, because the first placement was bad; and ended up driving down to an amaizng shop in Philly for the second doing - a highly recommended piercer. The hood only takes a few weeks; nipple piercings can take 2+ years to heal. Nipples and navels are highly regarded as the hardest to heal. Hoods (and PAs) some of the fastest and easiest.

I also have a bunch in my ears. I don't think I'd do labia though, I think I'd get annoyed by that. But the hood and nipple ones are always well received both by my partners and by my sensitivity level; which was high enough already and is now blissful. ;)

If you do a google search for body mod forums you'll find some over at ezboard which have a ton of information. Sea salt should not hurt - iodine is what stings. If you can taste it, you've put too much salt in, btw. Iodine is bad for piercings, as is peroxide; it makes healing take longer. But the biggest thing - stay the heck out of any body of water. Showers only. Stewing in bacteria is a great way to get infection. ;)

Provon is fantastic, too. I always have some here - most good piercings shops will sell it. Look for a shop and piercer that is APA approved, btw. (safepiercing.org has a list, as it is their orgs site).

This was probably mentioned - but while a small percentage of pierced girls do have actual clit piercings, the chances of hitting a nerve and killing sensation is VERY high; the large majority of piercings in that region are hood, not actual clitorial piercings. There are also things to consider such as horizontal vs. vertical; make sure you get a piercer will familiar with this or you're going to end up feeling pinched, a lot. I suggest vertical, personally - you avoid the chance of pitching and the ball rests right over the clit.

Also: I found the clamps and the prep far worst than the actual needle through skin. I hate clamps. Ugh. ;)

This is a great tip that I forgot to mention. I got my labia piercing in May and I didn't swim at all during the summer until the next year (that included pools, hot tubs, and the ocean).

Hi,

I am pierced also, mine goes under the cord, was so painful but worth the seconds of pain. To keep clean and from getting infected I was told to bath in salt water a few times a day for up to a month and to twist it around.

Enjoy the piercing, I thought it would make the orgasm easier when I first got it done, but what it did for me was make it intense, (that is if I remember)

Each person reacts to it differently, Does your's go underneath the cord also?

According to most peircers I know, you should avoid iodized salt, because iodine does the same thing that alchohol and hydrogen peroxide do--it kills the newly forming cells. Yeah, it disinfects, but as it's doing that it kills the new growth. All three are great disinfectors for stuff like the materials used to peirce, because they kill the stuff on them, but should be avoided after peircing for the very reasons that make them into good disinfectors.
