ORIGINAL: PenelopePitstop I think a lot of kink is about associations we make with different objects/parts of the anatomy according to our own values and thoughts in particular what we see as taboo, mysterious, powerful or sensitive, those kinds of intensities. For example, feet, in our society, are almost always covered in public - when a person reveals their feet it's a bit of a rarity, that alone is enough to push some people's buttons. Also, they are incredibly sensitive, there are loads of nerve endings down there, and so a way to communicate with someone's body by stimulating them - its a stim magnet. Then there are those, like yourself, Michael who see them as a bit dirty and taboo - which again could rock someone's world given that we generally hide that kind of stuff (think of asses!), by allowing someone to see the 'worst' part of themselves that is a rare intimacy. But I'm not actually into feet. For the longest time I hated my own, and would avoid showing them at school gym classes, even. I guess I associate them with privacy or something. Although I doodle them endlessly (in high heels). Apparently those who doodle feet associate them with grace and femininity: I can see that being true. But you might have those associations for some other thing entirely, and it varied from person to person. Sensual tastes are a mysterious thing, and just because a lot of people like one thing doesn't mean you should. *considers using heavy metal music as analogy...decides against it* You know, the reverse can be true as well. I was involved with a woman who HATED her feet--thought they were too big, etc. Very self-conscious. But she loved massages. And I love to give massages. After awhile she really got into me massaging her feet and came to appreciate my little fetish. She thought I was crazy, but she enjoyed it notwithstanding. I would suggest that this is a striking example of healing of both body and mind, however you wish to define that. Massage is one of the purest forms of sensual communication there is :) Please excuse me while I go place my crystals in order of ascending vibration ...
