I have been interested in experiencing sensory deprivation for awhile now. I was hoping Sir and I could learn to ‘dance’ (during a session), without cues from intruding senses, such as sight and hearing. Today we started to learn our dance. It was freakin’ awesome!!! [sm=hyper.gif] I was surprised I had picked up the sent of a toy he used on me, even though he hadn’t put it anywhere near my face. Also, it seemed as though the sensation of touch had been more focused, but it is hard for me to say for sure, because it tends to affect me differently on different days. For the most part (still a new experience), I think the situation allowed for a much more centered session. Sweeeeeeeeeeet! It was a little difficult to understand some of the directions he used, as it was the first time all, with exception of permission to cum, were given without words, and we didn’t go over any of them before we started. I am wonder, other then sight and hearing, are there other senses people have attempted to block out? What has been used other then blindfolds and earplugs? Do you have a system for non-verbal communication? Sharing of experiences welcomed. Kim

oooh - this sound so neat! I can't wait to try this, we've never done sensory deprivation outside of blindfolds! (So many good suggestions lately! We're going to be busy for a week!)

Once Master put earphones on me while i was tied to a door, blindfolded. The music He played me was the cd that when i hear it drops me instantly into bottomspace and in combination with the blindfold that made me totally unaware of anything else, just like another form of sensory deprivation. It was so complete that when He took it off me i was totally disorientated and shocked. He did not do anything else whilst i was in that position, but waited to see how it would affect play afterwards. It took me a while to come back into the room enough for me to move to where He wanted me next, but it was great. Now, the earplugs in combo with blindfold is not something Wwe have done yet, but would like to try... gabrielle x

One nice scene we did a few months ago was to take me to a party, blindfold and put headphones on me to listen to music before we went in. And then I wandered with him through the party the whole night, available to be used. He told me very few things, I still am not sure of exactly who was there and who was not, who did what and who knows and aren't telling me. Of course, kinky people are so difficult to open up and just play with someone unless you're a really hot piece of ass, so that was frustrating, but I still got some good anonymous use. One of the unexpected fun bits was the silence between the songs- a few brief seconds to hear the conversations around me and then drowned out by music again.

I was thinking about how I could use earphones with, or instead of earplugs. Most of the noise from his movement was blocked, but I could still hear him come in the door, and some other things he did. I think it might have been a good thing for the first time, as I was a little concerned I might freak when he first touched me, if he came in without me knowing, but would like to find a way to block out more. I just don’t want the wire to get in the way of what he wants to do. I have experienced some of the disorientation you mentioned, but only mildly, as of yet. Sounds great! Did you notice any of that while you had the earphones on and were blindfolded? On a previous occasion, without the earplugs, I started to feel dizzy. T1981, I hope your experiences with it are as rewarding to you, as mine have been for me. Kim

That sounds like a wild ride, LA. We don’t get out much, but it does give me an idea. It might be interesting if he were to spin me around a few times, and lead me here and there, so that I don’t know exactly where I am. Then again, he as already walked me into the coffee table, once. Couterweight emersion tank. That places you in zero gravity with nothing touching you... at the right temprature you loose the feelings of your suroundings... so your like a head floating.

Headphones are great! During one scene I had put together a playlist of some music I wanted to use during a scene. Listening to the music was awesome mixed with knife play. shivers I could hear him humble out orders, but could not hear them well, but I followed as well as possible. I was not gagged, so there was no need for anything other than safe words. We put plastic wrap around my head to help with soundproofing. We tore a large hole for my nose and mouth so there was no danger in using the plastic wrap on my head. Other than blindfolds..hmm we have used a scarf before and that worked great! Gave him something to pull on besides my hair. lol You could use a tie as well.
