I understand where your advice and opinion originates, it comes from your own personal experiences. I am sure there are others as well but they rarely reply to inquiries.
I'd argue that without a scientific and structured set-up you will never get an unbiased reply and even then it's easy to screw up. Expecting an unbiased response on an entirely free forum where you have no control over the "sample" (people who respond) or even if people are who they claim to be is unrealistic. To get an unbiased response you'd have to do a lot more work than simply posting the question - due to male/female relationships being more common, you'd have to seek out the uncommon.
I do, however, agree that it's a non-issue for the most part. Many, if not most, of the questions asked on this forum do not require a particular set of responders to get a suitable answer. Sometimes this comes as a rather large surprise to the poster who gets the answer they need from a group they thought they didn't want to hear from.
