Well, it hasn't happened yet, but...

it's when I give Him control over my chocolate.

The Ghiradelli, the Godiva, and yes, even the Fannie Mae.

I'm not sure I will ever be able to surrender all. I seem to always have a truffle hidden here or there.

Mostly there...[;)] [:)]

You're not alone blushes; so many people have a truffle (whether a chocolate or a limit) which they can't let go. So they never experience the mind-blowing high of total surrender.

But hey, that doesn't make them bad, or failures. And some get to enjoy their truffles regularly and satisfyingly.

(btw - if I offered to get you some truffles from Fortnums, would you ever be mine?)

I don't think I ever will hit such a point, if by ultimate you mean the point where I don't have any limits.

I'm never going to be okay with inverted suspension because it will start up my vertigo. There are things that just aren't any good for me, no matter how much I trust him. Both physical - like vertigo, and emotional - like humiliation. I do trust him to never hit those things, to never want to do me harm. But I still had to make those limits simply because he isn't me and wouldn't know about them if I didn't tell him. He's no better of a mind reader than I am.

I'm quoting you because I agree with everything that everyone has said .. including you.   To me there has to be love, trust, chemistry,  everything in place.  And if you have all of these things, then you've also shared your limits and things that maybe no one else knows.  You've surrendered the good, bad, and the ugly.   CP put it simply ... finding the right Dominant.   JMO [:)]

The point of ultimate surrender is to is to have a master who has an extra large stash of chocolates and truffles and is willing to share! [image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m27.gif[/image]

conquerme77 -> RE: Whats the point of ultimate surrender? (1/8/2009 4:38:41 PM)

I see from a lot of people's response that you first have to find someone you trust.  Then after that you can build the right chemestry to the point where you surrender and feel that love.   Too bad that would be nice to feel that.

2 seconds later... YES!

lateralist1 -> RE: Whats the point of ultimate surrender? (1/9/2009 3:32:09 PM)

It's about finding the right person and then making the commitment.
Problem is so many subs make the commitment before they check out if it's the right person.
Others know damn well that they aren't going to submit to anyone ever.
It's easier to be a good Dom/me if you have a good sub/slave. Like most partnerships sometimes it's easy sometimes it's hard work. The best relationships seem to be the ones where it's just natural. In my experience vanilla man are a lot more submissive than BDSM subs lol.

sleeper798 -> RE: Whats the point of ultimate surrender? (1/9/2009 9:54:08 PM)

Trust is definitely the key to being able to surrender, imo. Some people have a harder time trusting than others. I find it easy to trust others, once I get to know them enough. It is also easier to get trust if you can give it. Harder if you have had your trust betrayed, I am sure. (Or in the case of Master, I had the same experience as beth did with Merc, I think. I just touched him, and I was his. Although it took a little while for both of us to realize what had happened.)
