I'm rather new to the lifestyle, or at the very least the terms used in it. I keep seeing "LTR" all over the place. What, exactly, does it mean?

Here's a few more...

FR = Fast Reply (seen when someone uses the fast reply option and wants to make clear the post wasn't directed towards anyone specific)

WIITWD = What It Is That We Do... sometimes used as an alternate way of referring to BDSM as a lifestyle.

D types or s types = used by some to generically refer to all dominant roles (master, dominant, mistress, domme, etc.), same for submissive roles.

D/s = Dominant/submissive
M/s = Master/slave.

You also may see submissives or slaves using upper case in pronouns (e.g., "Him" or "Her") when referring to the Dominant in a relationship. (I personally don't put too much stock in that approach, except using the capitalization in "Dominant" when referring to a person. Just a personal preference.)

You'll also see us sometimes refer to the "OP" -- original poster in a thread -- in messages.
