The army's had video games out for years. I got a copy when I joined in 04.

That game is very popular for years and the biggest share of the players are not soldiers or don't want to become soldiers. (or even live outside the USA) It is a very nice game though if you like tactical fps ..and for free (well if you don't count the tax money) http://www.americasarmy.com/

just about every branch has games they use for advertising now. its even in theaters,they have movie posters from the National Guard "Citizen/Soldier" ripped right out of Starship Troopers.
