Read the label on the back of the bottle. If it says you're getting 100% of the minimum daily requirement, that's all you need. You probably don't even need that much, because you get vitamins from a reasonably healthy diet, too. But there's no reason to take any additional supplements or load up on extra C or B's if they're already in the multi-vitamin you already take. Your body uses what it needs and yes, you pee and shit out the rest. That's why you pee fluourescent yellow after taking it. Your body doesn't store the excess (with a few exceptions, but that's not a good thing either, the ones it can store can cause toxicity), and just because taking some is good, that doesn't mean that taking more is better. I take a multi and a Calcium-Magnesium-Zinc supplement, because those three things are important, my multi is lacking in them and I'm not exactly meticulous with my diet. I take the Vitamin D supplement, too, because I do the testing for it in my job and our boss gave each of us a bottle for Christmas, perverted bastard that he is. The last place I'd be looking for help in what to take is at the health food store. They're on commission. They'll have you taking shit you didn't even know existed and that you'd no doubt live to be 100 even if you didn't take it.
