That's a good question....I had dinner at a professional organization meeting held at a hotel.  The entree was some sort of chicken, I think.  Then there was some strange side dish that tasted like cornmeal and some veggies.  Not up to their usual standards at all.  At least I wasn't tempted to overeat.

Yum Cat. That sounds awesome, I love a good juicy rare strip steak.

Tonight I am making blackened salmon filets, basmati rice and asparagus with hollandaise sauce. If I get ambitious enough after I do my housework I might make a rum cake. Want the world's easiest rum cake recipe? One box of yellow cake mix, has to be the pudding in the mix kind, make as directed except substitute half the water with the juice from a jar of apricots, bake cake in a bundt pan. Meanwhile, in a sauce pan on stovetop, melt two sticks of butter one cup of sugar and one cup of good rum, I like a dark one, but that personal choice.Stir til all syrupy.  Anyway, when cake is done leave in pan and while hot slooooowly pour the sauce over it, it will look like too much sauce but if you pour slowly that cake soaks up the rum and the sauce, let it rest then invert on cake plate and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar. Oh.My.God. I think I just inspired myself to make the damn thing now. It really is that good. [:)] Sure, it is decadent, but once in a while you just have to splurge.

Chicken pho!

Nom nom, takeout is delicious.

They give you the broth in a huge cup, and then chicken, bean sprouts, nooodles, fresh jalapenos and  onions all in a big box.

Also wanted bubble tea... but they were out. *kick shit* I got jelly tea instead and it's gnarly.
