Don't worry, while I understand the reasoning behind it, it wouldn't work in our dynamic anyway as we are extremely compatible.  I have limits but they are a non-issue because they are things he has no desire to do to me or with me.

Though, I do like the brainstorming and am formulating a plan, thanks to all!

I had good luck with that coupon idea, but instead of them being I.O.U.s I made up a bunch of cards with things I really wanted to do with or for him. sort of like a book of small fantasies all about how much i wanted to be his and how much i loved the things we do and what i wanted to do even more of.

He still brings it up as one of the sexiest presents i have ever given him

A year ago, on Valentine's Day the collar was placed around my neck.  In July I moved accross the state to be near him, just before Christmas I moved in with him (due to a big fat hole in my celing letting my gas heat the entire city).  So far so good, the only down side is that I am horribly underemployed right now.

So thinking of the upcoming Halmark Holiday that now actually means something to me, I thought about the only thing I can pull off this year is going through a box store or the craft store I work at and picking up items that are generally not toys but can be utilized as such.  Of course I could re-wrap Justine by deSade as he hasn't finished it yet *snork*.

Anyway, as per usual, I am drawing a blank at what can be utilized besides duct tape (how about a cool hot pink) wooden spoons or hair brushes.  He will not only understand if I don't spend alot, but he would be upset if I spent too much, but I still want to show some thought.

Monetary gifts are so overrated.  My g/f brought home her roommate from college for me on my 20th birthday.  Now that was a gift I'll never forget.  Another girl told me to write down three wishes and she would make them happen (she added the stipulation it couldn't include another female, but it was still very nice and fun).  Is there any part of you that you have not yielded to him?  write it down and give it to him like a gift certificate to be redeemed at his wishing.  Since you know live together, tell him you'll give him a BJ ever morning.  I'm pretty sure he'll enjoy that more than a whip or a chain.

my Master told me i am not allowed to spend money on Him... not more than a few dollars anyway. my Christmas gift to Him was a photo i took of His dog, put in a basic frame. Cost less than $5 and has sentimental meaning. His birthday gift was a set of braided restraints made from nylon (yes pantythose) that won't scratch His new Headboard or footboard when He ties me to them. For Valentine's i am thinking of buying a bottle of massage oil and giving Him a head to toe massage with it.

Candles are very nice and oh so easy to make. I stared by recycling the old ones around the house, and wound up making one for eveyone for xmas.
Simple, but so so cool, easy to find instructions online too!
Good luck and mondo Congrats!!!
