The best OTC "Over The Counter" product that I know of is called LMX Cream. It's a 4% lidocain solution that nums any area really well. It's somewhat expensive but fun to play with now and then. Yes, I still have it lol. And I still wear it. It still has to be cleaned regularly, but no more pain from it at all.
