Go to "edit profile". At the top of that page are buttons to hide and unhide your profile.

Damn ... searched my own nickname. There it was. I guess I'm not invisible. Can you imagine that, a search engine that actually searches.

FR

The thought of my profile being "found" by friends or family was something I considered when setting up my account on various sites so I did the sensible thing and chose a user id that would not identify me. Simple really although I guess that if someone really wanted to search through the 51,000,000 or so entries that come up under susie and find me they could. Using the same id on vanilla sites as well as ones that you want to keep private is pretty stupid to start with.

I think CM wants to be found, therefore there is no point in whining about it. Just make up an off the wall name nobody would ever figure out and let it all hang out, so to speak.

Everything you put out on the net is public, and you might as well consider email the same way with government snooping. I could give you about three keywords and you could find out a hell of alot more about me than you really want to know. This goes all the way back to Usenet, and in that, sometimes your real email is exposed for all to see. Unheard of you say ? Wasn't so very long ago that it was true.
