Why not use tv as a way to be together? Fox only watches tv with me unless I'm off at a conference or away for a weekend and he's been given permission. Thus the very act of watching tv is associated with spending time with Mistress and seeing to her whenever she wishes.

Yup, that's us. We are very much a kinky family here. Everyone's needs get met and everyone is encouraged to become the best person they can become. It's worked for over 9 years with us now. Each of us in my household is a better person than they could be alone and we all work to make sure our dynamics function smoothly and wonderfully.

I don't have to ask for suggestions about how to punish or how to deal with a slave asking for something or please give me new ideas on how to keep our dynamic alive or a million other things things that get asked repeatedly on these boards because I know what I'm doing and have been doing it very well for many years now.

Can you say the same thing?

Status: offline 		So after reading most of this thread..being a high school teacher I so want to get out my red pen and start marking all over his posts..but I'll refrain from doing so.

I am very happy he is not my Dom. I'm still getting over the fact of saying she had to wear two plugs to go vote-like it was part of a punishment or she asked to do something so extreme as..OMG..her CIVIC DUTY!

Come on dude-tear up your Cracker Jack Dom License and get a clue..Each to their own yes..but..dang...

An important, historical event is taking place. The sub requests the opportunity to watch it on TV.

Scenario A: The Dom forbids it. (because he thinks that denying the sub life expereinces is the only way to express his "power over" his sub.) The sub obeys but secretly resents it. She meets with friends and coworkers, who ask what she thought about this once in a lifetime event. The resentment grows. Eventually, multiple incidents like this accumulate and  end up breaking them apart. She realizes the Dom is an asshat. Negative experience.

Scenario B: The Dom allows it, but makes certain that the sub knows the Dom considers it all silliness. (perhaps a price has to be paid for the relaxation of rules. Possible fun for both.) No harm done. Neutral experience.

Scenario C: Dom and sub watch the historical event together, and it becomes yet another shared experiance, which they can look back on as part of their "good times" together. In years to come, people will ask "where were you when?" and they will have a good memory of the time. Positive experience.

I'm going to sound bloody harsh here, but I fail to see why any "Master" would need to ask for ideas regarding how he will handle this matter. For me it smacks of either inexperience in which case he needs, in my opinion, a jolly good mentor, or he is inept. In either case he is advertising his lack of Mastery.... In the past I've also needed advise and ideas. I have asked my mentors and those who I know personally but never on a public forum.. Probably just my way of doing things and keeping issues private..
