If you are going to let a lot of weight rest on her back, I'd recommend sitting forward, toward the shoulders, to minimize the risk of back injury. Another approach is to have her standing and mount her shoulders from a stepladder. This way the trust vector is along the backbone instead of vertical to it.

Waterhole leather makes a nice saddle for use in this position.

jockeygirl,

this is just a ditto to Warren above. We human bodies were not meant to be riden in that manner and serious damage can occur.
