barbed wire is difficult to find

barbed wire is used on farms all the time. Go to a farming supply store.

you can get reloadable credit cards......they work the same as a reg credit card, so you can do online shopping and the only "credit" you have is what you physically put on the card.

woohoo, found a real easy way to make a custom pattern for a corset. Since I will be the only one wearing the barb wire corset the method I found would work perfectly.

Found it at the following link http://www.burdastyle.com/howtos/show/767#

Hehehe, get a friend, and a longgggg tshirt to do this in... we found that the tape scrunches up the shirt as you go

The barbs not meant for others to become snagged upon but for them to brush into me to give me some delight.

Barbed wire does not "brush against the skin" It snags and rips.

Raechard -> RE: Fabrication (1/24/2009 7:09:26 AM)

I assume that the raw materials to make barbed wire i.e. barbs and wire are just as hard to buy in the back end of nowhere as barbed wire.

Barbie wire on the other hand can be made if you have access to the body parts of 50 disembodied Barbies and some electrical cable.

I'd be a little concerned about anyone who had 50 dismembered Barbie dolls laying around... particularly on a BDSM site [&:]

Unless perhaps they were a practitioner of Voodon’t.[8|]

Aszhrae -> RE: Fabrication (1/26/2009 8:45:00 AM)

hijack aside (looking towards Raechard and the reference to Vooduo, which really is not about the dismembering of Barbie dolls)

The wire is actually easier to find than the getting the pre-fabricated barb wire.
Another plus to making it my self, I can place the barb closer together to keep both the weight down. Also placing them closer together without overlapping the same principle behind a nail bed applies. You get the needling of the points without the sharp points of the barbs penetrating the skin.

Thorns82 -> RE: Fabrication (1/28/2009 3:11:34 PM)

How long are the points on barbed wire, typically?  I can see the appeal of what you're describing, but I would be terrified of tripping and driving all the points into myself accidentally.  I suppose if they were only 1/4" long, and none were located in the spine area...although ribs might still be an issue.

You might also be a LOT less clumsy than me =p
