I hear that word thrown about every now and then, not so much since the 90's are gone, but I was still wondering.

It's a gangster that wins points for originality. Usually this can be accomplished with a catchy signature tune, some fancy footwork on the dance floor, or snappy new duds that show off his physique.

it has nothing to with being a gangster or in a gang - a stereotypical misconception. and don't this the wrong way, YHMA, the OG's wouldn't accept you because of the color of your skin.
