This is our first Valentines actually together instead of long distance and the our anniversary is not long after so I was thinking of trying to write up something original.

I used to be a darn good writer and have even had small things published but for this I'm having serious writers block lol everything sounds dumb when I read it over.

Well that's awesome to be together.
To write you need some time on your own,
to concentrate and let the words come to you.
And a writersblock sucks, I know that been there..

Daddy and I don't do valentines day either, I mean we do go out to eat do something fun together, but we don't do the traditional man buys women chocolates and flowers or gifts or jewlery,  and woos her. And I don't waste money on sappy greeting cards that I spent a long time picking out.

The Mistress I seek, unknown to me as yet
Desires to find her perfect matching pet

She bears an itch that lies beyond her reach

Until the day that she's to me revealed

And if by chance we meet on Valentine's

I adore poetry and do write. Reality is romantic in his own special way, he would rather show me in every day actions how much I mean to him which is wonderful and my life is so rich because of that.

I probably will...I've written them before for Valentine's Day and write them *just because* too. I wrote this last year, to make him laugh because he's never said he loves me and I rarely have either.

Thing is..

I push the usual words away,
They just won't do this time.
I want to write about this *thing*
(My dearest Valentine)

Not one soppy word of love
Will pass my lips,I vow.
This is ALL about the *thing*
(I love you, anyhow)

The *thing* is not at all the same,
It's eaten me up whole,
So love will not be mentioned,
(Nor giving you my soul)

I do not have to say that word
To tell you how I feel,
I know the *thing* can say it all,
(My love is deep and real)

The *thing* is ALL I'll write about,
Although it makes me sore
To never mention love again,
(I love you to my core)

The *thing* is much more precious,
The *thing* is what I gave.
I never have to mention love
(Because I am your slave)


And this...

A Different Time

The clock-face hands
No longer measure time
When you're in my space.
It's metered by an oyster
Tipped to my lips
And by warm sand
Beneath my naked back.
Or a boat trip where
You slip an arm around
And pull me to you.
This is how it flies
And how it lingers,
Carried on a laugh,
However fleeting,
It can fill a day.
And when your will
Is buried in my mind,
It stands still.

It doesn't have to be Valentines or any *special* time, it's just nice to write really.

I have the "lazy" habit of re-writing sonnets and odes from the romantic poets. There are also some really good ones that can be updated with a few words from the Greek and Roman poets. I KNOW i am not a poet, but i do love poetry.
