Oh you are too sweet SBFY..... remembering to include the rest of us (but you already know I think that! ) There are so many things I love about both places but I will choose my absolute favourite-est things about them USA- the warmth of the people and their openness. the two times I have traveled there total strangers have invited me into their homes. - the fierce national pride .... it isn't something I totally understand however I do admire it. I stumble over the words to our national anthem still. GB - the sense of humour, it is so similar to the Australian sense of humour, laconic, sardonic and as someone else said ...self-deprecating...... yum. - their passion for soccer (football) and cricket. - the British upper class accent ...... to die for, well actually most of the accents over there are to die for including Irish, Scottish, Welsh - though I can't understand what they are saying) - the pubs (and no I am not saying that to suck up to Misst) ....I love the small pubs in country towns that are a hive of activity for the community and almost everyone drops in after work for a quick pint or game of pool. May I be cheeky and add some of my favourite things about other countries Misst? New Zealand - for the scenery, absolutely glorious and such contrasts - from Rotorua to Queenstown to the Bay of Islands. Canada - the people, again so warm to strangers and they have moose and bears and cool animals like that!! Omg and the Newfoundland accent is so amazing (I once sat on a bus next to a guy from there and he talked to me for 5 hours and I didn't understand a single word he said.....but he was gorgeous so I didn't care!!!!) Mexico - a woman asked me to hold one of her chickens on a train (now that would never happen here) and so many people would offer to share their meagre meals with me when travelling. It was an incredibly humbling experience to have people who had so little offer so much. Italy - I am pretty sure every woman that travels there feels desireable as the men are so overt in their appreciation of women (any women ha ha) France - such stylish people walking around, even their casual wear would have a beautiful cut and colour ok that is my international love-in completed for now. I am sure I will have more to add about the US and Canada in a few months time ....woohoo
