ORIGINAL: Marc2b Hypothetical situation: Man X and Man Y, to two totally unrelated strangers, are driving one day and collide with each other at an intersection. Both are injured and rushed to the same hospital. Man X, suffering from severe head injuries dies shortly after arrival. Man Y will live and make a complete recovery with one exception – his testicles have been completely crushed. They are useless now and his flattened sack will have to be removed. Then one of the hospital surgeons has a flash of inspiration. He removes the testicles from Man X and attaches them to Man Y, performing the first ever (?) testicle transplant. After a few weeks recovery and a few tests to make sure all systems are go, Man Y heads home thankful to God, the surgeon, and modern medical science that he still has a working pair of balls. A couple of years go by. Man Y meets a nice woman, they fall in love and get married. A couple of months later she is pregnant. My question: genetically speaking, who is the father of the child? I’ve been wondering about this since about 4:20 this afternoon. Why, Yes... I'm sure you have! lol I have lots of thoughts on it, and they all contradict each other, and I don't know how to type them. So I will leave this one alone! lol
