I've been on CollarMe.com for about 3 years now. In the past few monthes, for some reason, I can not shake the feeling that when [some] people are looking at me, they're looking at me as though they recognize me off of this website. It drives me nuts! Does anyone else ever get this feeling?

I can feel their eyeballs burning into my back. Ah!

Nope. I think it would be pretty unlikely if they did. There is a big differance in how someone looks in real life and how they look on a photograph. I have had people I know in real life talk to me on sites like these but never thought someone recognised me from here in the streets (oh unless im at an event but then that goes without saying)

It's probably just paranoia.  Looking at your pics,  you look like a different person (to me) in each of them.

I had one local young man recognise me, then email me here to tell me that he saw me but was too scared to approach me. I thought it was awfully cute.

And perhaps they are looking at you... because it could well be that you are behaving in an 'awkward' manner around others which may draw attention to you. Are you comfortable exploring yourself on BDSM levels?

I've only ever had one person (in 28 plus years) recognise me through using CM and IC, and he was a work colleague, of all people. He was a snide little shit that would drop the odd comment and when I refused to bite he waited until I was conversing with a large group of colleagues before announcing, "would you care to share with everyone your secret dominatrix life, Miss Whiplash?" My work colleagues just shrugged as if to say "Tell us something new". It reflected poorly on him, not me and after I had a word in his shell-like regarding sexual harassment in the work-place, he soon left well alone.

I've had a lot of pictures on this site and others over the years and have never been recognized in public. Be careful though because you can easily be located if you give out very simple info.

Nope, I have not experienced this, and if I did, I could'nt care less, most of those that know me, know I am kinky, I make no secret of that. Basically, accept me, accept my ways, for I am me kinks and all.

As to people looking at me, maybe they do, I don't exactly move around stealthily, my attire can be different most of the time.

OMG!

Sugar!?

It can't be!

Girlfriend, how the hell are you?

You crazy, always obsessing and being OCD about something.

Miss that pretty little voice of yours singing like a little bird.

Soooooo great to see you here!

Maybe they just look at you because you are attractive!...

After casually talking to someone, via instant messenger or e mail, sometimes, I find that I am in no way interested in conversating with this person anymore. So I usually just ignore them. Some people are persistant though.

What is a polite way to let someone know you're no longer interested in them without hurting their feelings?

Thanks, Sugar

When I first starting perusing BDSM sites in the late 90's, I wouldn't post a photo.  I was scared to death of being recognized by a local vanilla person.  I finally did post of a few.  In 9 years of having photos up on kink sites, I've never been recognized in public or at work.  I live in a lot smaller state and community than you do.  I literally run into people I know every time I go to the grocery store or the like.  So if it hasn't happened to me, it's probably not something you should worry about.
