sunshinemiss -> Thread Envy (1/27/2009 3:16:32 PM)

Hello my poppets,
I have decided to do a lil bitty mind f*ck (cause I'm nasty like that).  That beautiful RedMagic1 made a post as noted below in red (cause I'm kind like that):

My name is RedMagic1, and I have thread-length envy.  I admit it freely.  In 19 months on the CollarChat message boards, I have only had the courage to start threads four times.  Each time, the thread died after at most three pages.  This pathetic performance led me to live as a post cuckold.  I meekly chime in on the threads of my posting betters, hoping for some glimmer of the bright light of attention they so richly deserve.

I hereby affirm to the entire CollarMe community that I recognize my weakness, and I will endeavor to change.  My error was that when I started threads, people either agreed with me, added in their own experiences, or saw no reason to reply.  Henceforth, I will start threads that achieve the lengths -- and depths -- of the true Masters of the Post.

I have decided that we ought to discuss this phenomenon at great length - hopefully more than 3 pages worth so that we may in fact all join in in the random and senseless mindf*ck of this lovely (cause you all are sadistic like that).  Those of you who would like to give some support and gentleness (cause you are kind like that) would be helping to create this longgggggggggg thread and we ALL get to participate in the mindf*ck.

Ain't that sweet?
sunshine

very sweet!

(are we on page two yet?)

LaTigresse -> RE: Thread Envy (1/27/2009 3:21:50 PM)

I offered Red, Sassy's stuffed wolf, to snuggle. I am nice like that.

dcnovice -> RE: Thread Envy (1/27/2009 3:23:06 PM)

Don't feel bad, Red. I recently had a thread die on its third page.

Of course, it was on dryer lint.

But seriously, I'm not sure long threads are always signs of healthy discussions. Sometimes they're just tedious pissing matches.

KyttynTheMynx -> RE: Thread Envy (1/27/2009 3:23:20 PM)

Ya...What Holly said...  (the first part, not the Holly-esque snark[:D])

feydeplume -> RE: Thread Envy (1/27/2009 3:23:26 PM)

Perhaps we can stretch the thread by quoting everything that has been said and giving extra space to every line we answer or address?

sunshinemiss -> RE: Thread Envy (1/27/2009 3:24:36 PM)

ohhh these are such good points!
and we should get lushy... she gives good thread!

thornhappy -> RE: Thread Envy (1/27/2009 3:25:03 PM)

Uff da.  That's a heinous technique.

sirsholly -> RE: Thread Envy (1/27/2009 3:25:25 PM)

lets get drugged up Lushy to post, and we can all take turns trying to figure out what the hell she is talking about [:)]

well yeah but it does work... maybe someone could find an older thread of Red's and we can take it apart line by line saying why each of us thinks the wording and thoughts are perfect? hey, i'm hungry so my mind isnt working that well.

Too true. The longest thread I ever started became just such an event between two overly pseudo-intellectual Doms trying to out minutia each other. Even I bailed out of my own thread after a bit!

Sigh. I wish I gave good thread like Lushy.......[:(]

Ya, I had, what I thought was a real winner the other day. On practical jokes. It died a fast death.

kazzaslave -> RE: Thread Envy (1/27/2009 3:32:00 PM)

I take personal offense to this thread. Those of us who only create short threads should not be made fun of. We can't help it....we try so hard....it's not our fault that we aren't offensive enough to cause multiply pages to magically appear.

This is....is....is THREADIST and I'll not stand for it!!!

Which reminds me.......I saw the one on weird turn-ons pop up earlier. I was going to ask if anyone had said 'snot' yet. Cuz, yanno, I've got a few trash cans of Kleenex that need emptied.

I was just afraid someone would actually get excited.....[:'(]

sunshinemiss -> RE: Thread Envy (1/27/2009 3:35:21 PM)

Anybody know how to pull up the threads Red started?  I tried and only got all the threads he contributed to...

feydeplume -> RE: Thread Envy (1/27/2009 3:37:27 PM)

maybe we can work with the post our kind OP put in red?

SassySarijane -> RE: Thread Envy (1/27/2009 3:37:30 PM)

Someone probably would too, LaT. Likely best you didn't go through with it as the ewww factor might have been too much for some of us lol.
