fergus -> Romantics Unite! (1/11/2006 2:07:52 PM)

Okay, whether you are 24/7 or just into weekend play, there are a few of us out here who still like to Romance and be Romanced.

I am thrilled whenever I happen upon a profile that mentions this.

How many of us are romantics at heart? Any others? Or am I the only one?

I'm sure there are plenty here. I like to think that I'm one of them. You'd really have to ask those I've been with, though, to see if they've gotten that feeling from me.

I would think that there are alot of romantics still around. 95% are looking for a love based relationship, whether in the 'nilla style or in the BDSM culture. Just takes a little time is all.

(( hugs ))

Romance in a relationship is always nice, I know I love it and love being that way for my partner. Unfortunately though there are some who are not. Who has ever known a sadist to be romantic? That would be something to see.

Guilty! Romantic love is on my "must have/do" list. Without it, I could call you friend, which isn't a bad thing to be called.
My One will be all that and more. Already looking forward to Valentine's Day. Yep, call me romantic.

I know quite a few sadists who are romantic. Just because they enjoy giving pain, does not mean that they dont feel the same that others do.

well maybe perhaps i will get lucky to meet one of them one day and recieve something as simple as a single rose.

Count me in... Without romance, it's just work, and I'm not interested in that at this point. M

LOl...my late Master was a sadist, and though he never went out and 'bought' me anything special, there were little things that he did for me that went along way to showing me that he cared, and had a soft side to him...he carried me over a rain puddle one time, simply because there was nowhere else for me to walk and he knew that I did not want to get my feet wet...he was always doing little things like that which surprised me because it was so out of character for him, but meant so much.

Why does it have to be something that he goes out and buys for you? There may be thousands of little things that they do every day that show they care, that show their softer side, etc.

ahh carry you over a mud puddle how sweet, Thinking of things, yes my Master may be a sadist but His romantic side is simple and hidden to most. But He will agree at times to watch those sappy love stories and surprise me with little things I love, like chocolate. He always tells me remember Im evil, and I laugh at him then when He hands me the chocolates.

I am an incurable romantic. Hey, I even write poetry to/about her.

RosaB -> RE: Romantics Unite! (1/11/2006 6:38:36 PM)

I don't always come across as one, but I confess I am one at the core of my heart. [:)] Wouldn't want it any other way.

I am and am not a romantic at the same time. Sappy brainless movies, candlelit dinners at expensive restaurants, storebought candies and cookie-cutter romance is not my idea of a good time. Now then, a moonlit stroll outdoors with a loved one, a thoughtful note, or homemade goodies are most definitely welcome. Basically I'm into romance if it shows thought and effort. For me, a night of watching horror films and cuddling up next to my hubby is more romantic than receiving an expensive diamond that I'll never wear.

If it's a LTR... romantic love is one of the keys to longevity.

MadameDahlia -> RE: Romantics Unite! (1/12/2006 12:43:59 AM)

I'm a romantic - and a sadist. I can revel in tears and whimpers and still snuggle up to watch a sappy movie with someone I care about.

Right on NakedOnMyChain!

Romance to me is about knowing what the other person needs, even if they don't know at that moment. Like knowing they need a foot rub long before they even consider asking for one.

A note hiding for them to find later when fishing through a coat pocket.

Sometimes, even leaving them alone when you know they need to be alone! Even though you are dying to talk to them!
