It now appears that the body armor are soldiers wear is not as protective as the Pentagon thought it was...and the testing may have been riged to keep that knowledge from being known.

They have an armor made by people who are friends of people in high places. Pretty much cinches what type of armor the troops get. No matter how poorly it works. You had troop buying dragon skin out of their own pocket because of the bullshit armor they were being given. The officials got their panties in a bunch about it and wouldn't allow them any other kind of armor. Even if it is the soldiers own dime.
