Probably best to have someone there to look after you while you are in it and help you get out when you need to.

Damn-good thinking... But just exactly how would you get yourself secured into it without someone to help? And wouldn't that person kinda-sorta want to stick around, you know, just in case??? ~Dave

Actually there are some models that are designed for the person to put themselves into or have someone else strap them down. From all i have heard, it is MUCH easier to get yourself into one than to get out of it by yourself. That was a while ago and some of the newer models out there might be easier. But it is still a good idea to have a "spotter" especially if you might go all sub-spacey and forget to drink or overheat or something.

When I sleep, I tend to sleep chrysalis fashion, not so much rolling around, but no coming up for air either.
