hiya toots! February finds Me still employed ( thank the goddess), with a new do, a new attitude and losing weight--4 lbs in one week---only 36 more to go.

Hopefully the boy on some steps to a better life.

I will post more later AFTER the Pirate/Greedy nuptial...  but for now, I am down ten pounds, with a mysterious amount yet to go---somewhere between 20 and 70 more pounds LOL.   Whatever I think that I can maintain for the rest of my life, anyway.   I know that I can't be the slender self that I was 20 years ago, Before The Meds, so I am not being *silly*.  I just wish that I liked diet soda!  Artificial sweeteners are poisonously bitter, and I miss my daily pepsi or coke!

The first month of the tax season is OVER and I am about as unmotivated as I can be.  Considering how fast the first four weeks evaporated, I am sure the next ten will disappear too.

I am talking to a bunch of new people, and trying hard to keep track of them all...  and not be one of those flaky fake doms!  It's so hard to say no kindly, but when someone gives me the iffy feeling, that's that.  I used to be so kind to newbies, but now all I can do is email them the information on local resources and wish them well.  I just can't spread myself thin for strangers anymore, Auntie needs a break!

Not sure where January went.  I think I was productive.  Off to Atlantic City the end of this week for the first time since I moved to Sunny South Florida.  Still haven't found my Slave after beginning my search over a year ago.  A lot of subbies and slaves request but none that proved their worthiness to be my Slave 24/7 or even for temporary service.  I must say that I have met one friend out of the communication who unfortunately lives outside the country.  Hey you!!  So, Slaves and Subbies, the search is back on with some intensity.  Happy Valentine's Day to all.  Happy President's Day.  Hope you had a great Ground Hog's Day.  Sorry you Northerners are going to have 6 more weeks of Winter (Hope they aren't too bad)!!

Well, I've had good news in terms of work ... I am now enrolled to do My PhD in science education and will start receiving scholarship payments soon! Financially that will obviously help and I am relishing waking up My academic brain again. It got some tuning up in January by helping another academic out with a couple of papers, of which I am now second author. Feeling good about all of that! Waiting for My supervisor to get back from vacation to seriously start working on the project proposal details (I've got 6 months to finalise that).

House selling went very slowly, it was on the market for just over 3 months with one agent who only procured 2 very low offers. Have switched agents and within 2 weeks she has 2 lots of buyers both bidding much nearer the mark! It just might get sold in the next few days! We're working on offering a discount for a free "rent back" ... so once the settlement has occurred and the money lands in Our account, We can organise buying and moving into Our RV while still living here (for up to 3 months). That saves the upheaval of having to find a rental (not easy to do, especially with furkids!) and then moving twice! Fingers crossed that will work out.
Could be pretty frantic while finding the RV, packing, sorting and hopefully downsizing, so if I disappear off the boards for a while, don't be too surprised!

Relationship-wise, well Master and violet are still getting along famously, since He survived my tennis-watching season (especially the 2 weeks of the Australian Open when i was staying up late every night!) .. and enduring my steady commentary and coaching! However, NOT feeling as positive about the sub I have been talking to for a long time and have met and played with. As soon as I set him what I consider to be a small personal challenge ... to read threads and post on the forums here as a means to find out more from sources other than Myself and to engage with other like-minded people ... he has baulked, considering it not his nature to talk to strangers! I've told him he doesn't have to spill his guts, merely comment that he has learned a lot etc, but underlying it is a much bigger issue of resistance. he doesn't deem it a worthy task so he doesn't want to do it ... and in My mind, that's not submission. I've given him a full rationale of why I consider it a worthy task and what I hope he will gain from it (and there are other positives outside of bdsm knowledge) but so far, I've held off going for a resolution until he passes the latest test at his work. Will be interesting to see what next week brings, but I don't intend to waste time and energy with someone who is unprepared to submit their will in even a small way to One they purport to trust. Frustrating! *sigh*

One of the furkids (the little girl dog) has had 2 operations in Dec and January, the first expensive one to remove a huge bladder stone (she is way too stoic for her own good!) and the second to remove a fast-growing but benign tumour from her chin! We could have bought 2 new puppies for the money spent ... but she is special! She just got her second lot of stitches out today and is she glad to be rid of that damned bucket for her head!

That's about all the news from here in Queensland. Mercifully We haven't had the 40C+ temps they've endured much further south, and also not had the heavy rains and flooding that the north of Queensland has endured! In this regard, where We are is a great climate, shame We'll be leaving it, but We are very much looking forward to being on the road, being a travelling student and a travelling band! Have got a couple of well-paid gigs at the end of the month that may well set Us up on the touring circuit if they go well!

Hope everyone else is going well, looking forward to checking back in for news from the regulars!

Maam Jay aka violet[A]

Just popping in really quick. I have not been on in ages.

Cliff notes:

Trained slave as live in, slaved moved in, slave left.
Busy working on my farm- new stuff, fix old stuff
Writing, learning, growing (as well as growing hips!)

The last guy left a bad taste in my mouth so I took a break before resuming. I am now bad hunting and training.

Cheers

I have made a website that I am very proud of. My weight is just where I like it.No goals in that department

I spend my free time with my ANIMALS ...not with people. Because  I find my animals to be much sweeter than many human beings.

I have still not found my TPE slave but I may be getting closer.... although, he is not in the exact package I was expecting...I am keeping my options open.We will see.  Hopefully he will work out and become my new everything.

I agree and when the "wanna be devoted when my dick is hard" walks out the door the truly devoted are there ready to hop on your lap. lol

Definitely animals are a priority in my life and I admit that I treat my dogs better then my slaves. lol- Ok that sounded bad and I forgot where I was! Holy shit this could lengthen the thread into who knows what? lol ok, I'll stop. My dogs can't talk, I'm bored and just trying to assume myself.

Yes Dianna Vesta, I totally agree. That is why I am taking SO long to decide to allow someone to move in with me. Because I reallydont want a revolving door experience like you described. That really scares me.I am a really private person and I think I would  be devastated if I went through what you just did dear.
Good luck
Arianna

I've been talking to a few and I am narrowing things down a bit.  Some gone... some friends... one... specail. lol  I think I may have just found a keeper here and he isn't half across the world!  Nothing like local and available! lol This is the first time since my ex, that I have actually seen something in someone that excited me and made me think there might be something there and looking foward to finding that out.  Of course he has all the right answers! lol  But he is backing it all up and actually impressing me and that is no easy thing to do!

Anyone can play the tune for a month or so... but I will explore the idea of things and not get too involved emotionally until I see certain things... but when someone actually seems to fit... that can be a thrill!

None of my issues in life scares this one off... so we will see how the long haul goes.  I call him my hunka hunka lotta love, manly man submissive... he kind of like's the name!  So if things work out... you might see a new nick around here once in a while.

On the home front... I buy this place... spend all the money and everything breaks down! lol  The fridge, the dryer, the washer, the water heater, the heater... the sewer, the pipes and some electrical.  I can't even afford a new paddle at this point! lol  But am going to lowes for the water heater tonight and will take a look around for some inexpensive things I hope to work with this weekend or next.  Depends on when I can get a friggin shower and ready for some play time! lol  It's all good!

Health fantastic......except being sick for 2+ weeks. Doing good with eating healthy, exercising and all that boring stuff. Still working too many long hours, but not complaining.

My fur babies along with my grown kids and their little ones, all keep me grounded and happy. Life really is fantastic isn't it?!?!

The girl that was to come here in January had disappeared the last week in December. I was surprised, considering how far we've gone down the path together, but my cynical nature was taking it in disappointed stride. Then a couple weeks ago I was contacted by the young woman ( a switch friend ) that had introduced us. The girl had been in a horrible auto accident. An elderly couple ran a red light and struck her in the driver's door of her old Camry. She has broken ribs, a broken leg, and had a bad concussion. She had been unconcious and suffered swelling of the brain. The good news is that she is now back home and recuperating wonderfully. Her cast comes off in 2-3 weeks and we are replanning another visit. In addition the woman that introduced us and one of her current submissives. Three toys for meeee, even if two are probably temporary. I don't want any more auto accidents (our weather here), and the injured party needs to clear up all the insurance and legal settlement. We are planning something in April for my birthday.

Still arguing, and loosing $, to the IRS.........seemingly a never ending battle. Beware of charming Australian tax guys that get your fantastic returns! They tend to disappear with all your vital paperwork and leave you to the hungry wolves.

I am ready for spring, green grass, flowers, budding trees, and baby farm animals!!!

Oh, and I got grrrrrrrrreat lessons on financial domination. Thank you to the ladies that took the time to explain away my ignorance. I will worry less about crazy people stalking you. Unfortunately it's just not my bag so my coffers will remain rather empty.

And yes, I also prefer the company of my fur babies over that of most people. Even when the sick, puking, whale of a cat pees on my dining room table (and empty camera case) whilst glaring at me, the little bitty canine diva chews a hole in my favourite blanket and the neurotic aging canine pees in the middle of my kitchen floor so I slip and fall in it in the dark when I get home from work. At least my equine babies took care of me when I almost passed out feeding them when I was sick.

My life. Never boring.

Its a process. I've been doing this over 20 years. People bitch because I have a waiting period, tell me I'm not real because I charge them to talk on a phone a few times and training means training. I can understand it if it was someone that was a total stranger but hell, I'm all over the place and been around. Still I need my privacy when it comes to my home and even with all those hoops you still get a bad egg. I still have part time slaves that comes to visit a few days here and there. I'll probably stick to that and let the rest evolve, as this last one did. If it happens, great. If it doesn't then oh well. The older I get the less tolerance I have for wasting my time. I understand the investment but I also feel that if someone is seriously interested in serving me they will step up to the plate and prove it.

Hey Dianna!! Long time no see!!!

Well, hubby retired last month and there for a while we were really getting stuff done. But then we got snowed in, and then we got snowed in again... and today we are getting snowed in.

And for the big news. My son (who was told years ago that he is sterile) is expecting a son very soon. Yes, he had everything checked and he isn't as sterile as the Army docs thought he was. I told him when I first found out that she was pregnant that if anyone deserved a son it was him. Karma is a lovely thing, isn't it? Anyway, they found out it's a boy and he is both excited and scared to death!! I get to go with her Friday for the Ultrasound. This will be my second biological grand sapling!

Beyond that, nothing exciting has been going on. My diabetes is leveling out some now and I've discovered some wonderful non-narcotic pain relievers for my neuropathy so things are getting to be more "normal" for me. (finally!!) And today (Exciting news for me anyway...) I found some regular shoes that I can wear without suffering and they aren't even ugly!!!

Congrats to the grandmothers!! It's wonnnnnnnnnnderful.

I've got three now. Ages 5, 4 and 6 months. My son has the two boys, and my daughter graced me with my first grand daughter, her first child, this last summer. She already quite vocal and demanding, even moreso than her older male cousins. Fortunately they dote on her.........for now anyway. And my son says he doesn't mind that he didn't have a girl, now that he has a niece to spoil.

I have yet to have all three at the farm by myself. Not sure I am ready to go there.

Oh I'm sure I'm not ready to go there!!! I'm in G-Ma mode (that's what they call me) My son has two by marriage, 9 and 6. They come over, G-Ma shows them how to shoot pool, lets them sit at one of her desks and color with all her markers and such then sends them home!! My mama raised fools, fortunately I'm not one of them.

And it's still snowing, just fyi. The good news is that Scooter finds it much prettier now that he doesn't have to drive to work in it!! We did take the big truck out earlier and went to the big city. Whiteout conditions in some places! But that's ok cuz' I got new shoes!!!

lmao
