it's a whole philosophy on life! Just a bita nota lota truble has long been my mantra. Being too good is downright boring, so I settle on practically perfect. I've been collared to my Master for 9 years and about a year ago we did it up all official like and tied the Turks head knot complete with a threaded wedding ring, so now I'm also the little "Mrs." ::and no height jokes! When I stand up BOTH my feet reach the ground:: I'm a total girly girl. Dresses, long hair, long nails, make-up and I always, always smell good. :-)I'm a wannabe gourmet cook and I love to experiement with recipes. Contrary to popular belief, my favorite toy is my KitchenAid, not my vibrator. Himself ::that's the Dom half of the equation:: calls me a pervert, but I prefer the term sexually free spirited with an experiemental attitude. I had my first r/t session on July 3, 1982 starting at 5:10 PM PST. Needless to say it made an impression on me and I've been soaking in the leather vats ever since and never again ordered up vanilla unless it was ice cream. I've been collared three times in the past 20 odd years. My first Master passed away, my second decided that he was a submissive... then there's been Himself for the past 9 years. I've been very lucky in having the opportunity to travel around the country, lecture, demo and write for a number of years and spread some of my.. um.. um... wisdom, yeah, that's a good word. Wisdom, we'll stick with that one. I don't consider that I've been on a BDSM 'journey' so much as a ride and it's been a blast. As long as it continues to be so much fun, I'm planning on continued trips round the carousel. If that ever changes, I'll personally donate my toy collection to the home for Wayward Doms. I have pretty good radar and fairly good instincts and my feet are planted squarely on the terra firma but that doesn't mean I don't have hope for the bright future of BDSM. There's been a lot of changes to this life I love over the years.. some good, some not so good, but being basically optimistic, I do believe the good outweighs the bad so I'm grateful to the internet for what it has to offer, but nothing compares to getting out there and attending locals venues and meeting people real time. I have a thick skin which comes in handy when you're the target of a sadist and there is very little which offends me, so anyone is free to write, flame or what-have-you. I can take it as long as you can take getting it back.
I have found a single constant when it comes to BDSM as 'safe and sane' are such subjective terms and that's consent. Adults doing what they want to each other.. s'all good with me, but I don't believe in blind acceptance just because I happen to enjoy wearing the collar of a deviant. Within the actual realm of adult consensual BDSM, my limits are few and far between, but they do exist and Himself knows what they are and has total respect for them. Since he has the same ones and more, it works well for us. Anyway, I almost always talk to much and too fast, so will close for now with saying that I'm happy Himself pointed out this board to me and hopefully, my profile will get approved fairly quickly.
