Interesting query -

2. not as a paying member
3. unknown

In addition to men pretending to be women and the number people who are already married but just cruising you would need to know how active men and women both are on the site. What volume of e-mail traffic do they receive and how much do they participate? Are they there to socialize and hang out with friends or actively looking to meet a significant other?

I think that there are more women using sites as serious ways to find a partner. I think that a lot of men use it to meet people for sex (not all of course but it has been something that I have noticed. I think its odd because if I just wanted a shag I would go to the pub)

I dont think its aggressivly seeking I just think women are wanting the fairy tale. If we all have 'one' the internet gives us access to far more people. More chance of meeting the 'one'

No sexual preferences were mentioned. Just a straight cross section. In marketing I have always used the old rule of thumb which is “10% are gay”.
