Status: offline 		I don't like platform shoes of any kind. A shoe shouldn't convey an image of a block of wood clunked on the end of your foot (too much like hoof on a workhorse), but should be tapered, slimming and elegant. Yea, spike heels do it for me too.

I'm short, 5'1, so I wear heeled shoes whenever I can. Platforms are easier to walk on than stilleto's or pumps, therefore, I wear alot of platforms. Not to mention I came of age in the 90's, when chunky heeled shoes were all the rage.

It is hard to believe the difference between men and women's fashions.  Most guys own a few pair (at the most) of black leather shoes...designer or not.   How many dudes would come out here and ask, "what do you think?" 

They fit, they look cool and I am good to go...The entire process of shoe shopping lasts approximately 5-10 minutes.  That also leaves some time to check out the talent....What a miserable place to work. Feet....Yuck.

... but these are ugly. They look awkward.

I have a pair in black leather with stillettos.  Mine all mine.  lol  They are what I call indoor heels since there are difficult to wear for a long time.  They are fun when I have company.  <weg>

Alexander McQueen Classic Knee Length Boot (If you're looking for something more dominatrix-ey)

Le Due by Due Farina Henrietta boot (if you aren't into heels)

Another Alexander McQueen (these boots are STUNNING. I could never pull them off but oh my goodness are they pretty)

Prada black stretch napa lace up boots (If you absolutely have to have boots that tie up all the way to the knee. Look how much sleeker/sexier that can be?)

Miu Miu black/grey (This is how you do a platform. I covet these so much.)
