It`a funny and interesting that most of the states without power are red states.

Considering that every single republican voted against the recovery plan, which included money and plans to rebuild the electric grid in their states,I say fuck`m.

Let`m stew in their own juices and we`ll spend that capital improvement $ on other state`s grids, bridges and roads.

I wonder, will the folks in those states be pissed off that their reps. voted against the plan,in a couple weeks when they find out(once the power is back on).

Lol.

...nope, not LOL...not funny at all. It's partisan shit like this thats the bloody problem.

Owner,I'm with Philo here ...The sentiment behind that post is part of the problem.President Obama stating that we are one nation, not a collection of states ,some blue some red is a step in the right direction.

rexrgisformidoni -> RE: Finally some said it "The King has no clothes" (2/2/2009 9:31:37 PM)

I was going to say that's really bad and tasteless.

corysub -> RE: Finally some said it "The King has no clothes" (2/2/2009 9:37:33 PM)

I'll spot you one Mark Rich for one Carl Rove!

One Harriett Miers for 16 FALN terrorists!

Thank you, Mr. Holder and Mr. Clinton.

It's okay to be a hypocrite, as long as you're less of a hypocrite than the guy you are yourself accusing as being a hypocrite.

I think corysub is dressed perfectly for his position.
And are you trying to insult someone for being chubby or having a collar in a picture on a bdsm site?

oye!

Are you insulting a Rep by calling them "gun toting" while your default pic is of a gun toting rapper?

I am shaking my head at this thread.

George Bush is not guilty of "mistakes" as much as the fact that he does not possess the oratory skills of Obama.

This is when I know that someone is so entrenched into their political bias that they are incapable of  free thought.

If you think that GW's problem biggest was that he was incapable of  articulation you are truly lost. If his decision making was so sound then he wouldn't have been forced to defend damn near every poor choice that he made.

I know some Fox loving, gun toting Republicans that would say that "you don't get it."  Republicans were distancing themselves in record number from the Prez, and it was not because he is a poor public speaker.

...the opinion of someone who supports eugenics is of little interest to most here......

It does not bother him, because his team is winning now. Double standards and hypocricy are okay as long as your team is in power.

So reading through all of this, does Obama actually have a lot of lobbyist or former lobbyist in his admin or not?

It's okay to support a black president who supports a program that kills unborn black babies at a higher rate than unborn white babies.  And the program was created by a woman who was a racist and created the Negro project to sterilize unknowing negros...

"We do not want it to get out that we want to exterminate the negro population" - Margaret Sanger, founder of planned parenthood.

LMAO...  still shaking my head.

Everyone who supports planned parenthood supports eugenics, in a round about way.

...laugh your arse off all you like. Quote dead racists all you like. But on these boards you, personally, advocated eugenics based on income.

Whatever, your opinion means nothing to me.

I`m also for states getting back from the feds, what they give. Not more.

The poorer states tend to be red states and get a disproportional larger share of federal dollars than the richer blue states(who pay the majority of the tax dollars into the fed.).

I say let the socialists system that gives red states more than they contribute, die.

After all,it`s these states who are the most against socialism.

Right?

If they want to talk the talk, let them walk the walk.

Call me harsh.[sm=2cents.gif]

philosophy -> RE: Finally some said it "The King has no clothes" (2/2/2009 10:29:00 PM)

...whatever O59. However that crack about letting whole states that voted differently to you suffer in the dark was contemptible. Before you go off on one regarding how not socialist you are, you may want to apologise for that.......

rexrgisformidoni -> RE: Finally some said it "The King has no clothes" (2/2/2009 10:29:13 PM)

he has a few. sadly, anyone at that level of government is going to be a lobbyist or former lobbyist at some point in their lives.

OrionTheWolf -> RE: Finally some said it "The King has no clothes" (2/2/2009 10:31:11 PM)

So then do you propose a split of everything based upon taxes paid? Or do you propose the US divide itself?

What does this have to do with how many lobbyist Obama has in his administration? Do you support Obama having former lobbyist in his administration?

I do not support eugenics.  I was stating an argument that those who support abortion don't want to hear.  It's okay to talk about abortion, which was championed by a woman who was into eugenics, but it's not okay to talk about sterilization, which was also championed by the same woman.

hypocritE seems to be a good word here.
