I just thought I would share with everybody a product I recently discovered at my local DIY superstore, and which I have now also tracked down on-line (at least in picture form).

These mini-padlocks - about 42mm long from hasp to base - look ever so stylish, and come in a range of both metal and colour-flashed finishes. They are a little pricy, but if (like me) you have some harness with a particular coloured edging and you want to maintain "the look", they really do look the part.

This particular range of padlocks also has bigger brothers (and sisters?), if you have a larger requirement than the kind of padlock that would secure a wrist/ankle cuff or similar-sized buckle.

Unfortunately... it appears that you cannot, for love nor money, get them in keyed-alike sets of more than 4, so you might need a good keyring to store the various keys.

Have you contacted Master Lock directly? I got a set of 6 keyed-alike mini locks from them about 6 years ago.

Mistress has sets of 4 in polished gold polished silver and a poikshed hot pink she bought about 4 years ago and eanh set is keyed togather.
this is enough for me chasity corset and heels in 3 different colors in the mini lock size. Mistress did the same with a medium set in polished gold and polished silver for her bondage play items so again she has them keyed togather and received apon request 3 keys to each set. 1 set is kept in her safe place the other in her bank safty box and the 3rd is for loaning out to masters and men I am given to so if she mixes the sets they can only unlock what is allowed of them to gain access to.

I have been in contact with MasterLock's representatives in the UK, and the best they could offer was bulk purchase of 200 padlocks at a time, all keyed alike, and try as I might, I couldn't find a use for quite so many padlocks, no matter how chic. It might be a different story if dealing with MasterLock in the States, from the States.

I think I have a lock fetish.

I had a little trouble searching that site, but I did enjoy the drop down boxes on the main page, where it says "what do you want to lock up?" And I am thinking, hmmm, there is no option here for "my sub" We are in the market for some small locks, actually, for a new posture collar and locking high heels.

Anyway, thanks for the info.

Do those have a 2mm shackle? I have been looking for a while and it is hard to find more than 4 keyed alike.

I can use 200 :), do you have a part number?

Ohio Travel Bag carries at least two styles of small padlocks that use what looks like a regular handcuff key. The key will not open real police issue handcuffs, however police issue handcuff keys will open the padlocks.

The plus side of these locks is safety. At any given play party, there are sure to be at least half a dozen people with a handcuff key on their keyring.

The downside is security. At any given play party, there are sure to be at least half a dozen people with a handcuff key on their keyring. However, outside of the kinky community, very few members of the general public carry or even own handcuff keys.

The MasterLock part number is 195 Mini Fusion for the polished chrome or stain nickel finish, and 4630 Mini Fusion for the red, blue, green or purple plastic-flashed version.

Have a look on /www.masterlock.com/cgi-bin/class_search.pl?class_id=CA_FS&Go.x=14&Go.y=9 for pictures and details, although the pictures are not to scale. I think there is a significant typo on this page for the description of the plastic-flashed Mini Fusions because they are claimed to have a 6mm shackle, but the chrome Mini Fusions have a 3mm shackle (I have one right here next to my desk as I type).

Typos notwithstanding, they make a lovely addition to a bondager's toybox.
