Hello from Canada!
My profile says I'm in Vancouver but I'm actually on the island, ssh, don't tell anyone. I've only been on the site for a few days and, let me tell you, last night I had a nightmare that my computer got infected with layers upon layers of viruses from checking out so many profiles.
I used to scoff at people who seemed so confused, "is it okay for submissives to initiate first contact with Doms?" (c'mon, as long as you talk - who cares who starts the conversation?!) ... now that I'm actually trying to socialize... I'm in the same boat. I value traditions, and I'm interested in the history and theory and rituals involved in BDSM, but I'm so ignorant it's embarrassing.
Like many others, I'm hoping talking on the forums will form healthier friendships than... the profile stalkers and trolls.
There isn't a story behind the username. I think bumblebees are the cutest little fuzzballs and saying "bumble" always makes me smile (or snicker, depending).
