Speaking of Monarchs...you can catch the spectacle of 26,000 or so Monarch butterflies as they winter in the Oceano Dunes of Pismo Beach.  their "season" is late October to late February:

Butterfly Grove

Oh, man, you probably have no way of knowing just how much I would love to do that. I think I'm definitely taking a day trip up that way for the butterflies and the barbecue. Thanks, man, I am going to love that.

You could also go for some whale watching as the grey whales migrate off the coast.

Panda, on Mercnbeth's sharing the same account, if you see black lettering it is Merc and purple lettering is beth.  She is the one giving you travel advice here.

In the lighting here in my motel, I can't easily tell the difference between the two colors on my laptop unless I can see them both at the same time and compare (like in your post). Too much glare on my screen. In fact it actually looked like both were writing in the same posts, but I couldn't really make it out. Thanks for, uh, shedding a little light on the matter!

No problem, Panda.  There are a few couple's accounts where one or the other uses either a different color and/or font when writing.

Yeah, that's something I really wanted to do too, but I didn't know about those links. Thanks! I owe you big time!

griffith park park observatory.

I lean to the nerdy side.
for fun there is universal studios.

yes I know its NOT bdsm stuff but they are cool.

Man. You're a mindreader. Nos. 1, 3, and 4 are already on my list (I've wanted to see the tar pits and the observatory ever since I was about a foot and a half tall), and the only reason JPL wasn't on the list is because the tourist book I've been studying seems to imply that there are no public tours there. But I think I'll give 'em a call tomorrow or check out their website. Thanks, buddy! I appreciate it.

Thanks, bud, I'm studying those first two pages now, and I'm already planning to hit the Lair on Saturday. I'm thinking Insight for sure, and probably Unfettered on Saturday night. I may just wind up staying there the whole day and night, or maybe just running out for a quick bite or whatever sometime in the evening. You guys going to be there, I take it? I'd love to meet you if the opportunity presents itself.

Don't know about "bud" but we'll be there.

We know Rev. Mel casually from the events we've attended. She is a VERY wonderful example of a person who gives back to the community and provides a positive image. beth was her nude model for an 'Insight' she gave on tapping into your 'Chakra' energy the Rev Mel a while back.

These are tough times, and when things come up like this people should do whatever they can; not just money, but time, or just showing up and showing solidarity representing support. Going to the Lair is so much fun on any occasion. It's a wonderful, welcoming place, where a person with any level of experience can go and fell comfortable and, more important, safe. This should be great event and we're looking forward to it! We're suckers for 'silent auctions' and have a dungeon full of stuff to prove it!

Hope to see you there and anyone else in the neighborhood.
