I'm trying to find a bedroom chest to store our toys and kinky attire in. I remember relatives having a Cedar chest at the end of the bed, and it had a removable tray that could slide from one end to the other if you didn't want to take it out. But I can't seem to find anything like that, either they dont have trays or organization of any type, or they are full width trays.

Basically we want to find something nice for the end of the bed, that can hold lard things like spreaders and stocks and petticoats, but also has a tray(s) for plugs and cuffs and so forth. Anyone have any idea's or recommendations?

How do you store/organize your stuff?

i store mine in a duffle bag for now and each thing is in ziploc bags to keep them sanatary too. if anything you could always build a custom piece for your bedroom to store stuff in.

Have you tried to look on Ebay? How about Lane Furniture? I made a hope chest for my niece about 40 years ago, but it didn't have a tray. Try making one yourself, if your handy with woorworking.

I keep my toys under the bed, in 2 Plastic Under Bed Containers. Out from site, but Handy !  YUMMY !

I use a large hardside video camera case on wheels like this. It can be locked with either a key or padlocks. It is lined with eggshell padding, has velcro dividers, and enough room diagonally for spreader bars and crops :)

As for the build your own, I have the tools and the know how, but in this house there is no where to work =( So tools are in storage.

I have seen some steamer trunks at antique stores that would be nice for furniture. They usually have trays and some with sliding trays. Once in a while i have seen some nice woooden ones with a curved top. And they lock so you can keep nosey people out

I was going to suggest antique stores, garage sales and auctions but now that I've looked at your location.....I don't know that they have them there.

Do you have used furniture stores or anything that sells old, used furniture? I've bought several old steamer trunks over the years and almost every household seems to have one somewhere in th house. My grandmother had several, of different sizes. In addition to a beautiful old blanket chest from the early 1700's, that is so big I could keep two slaves in it. She still had the original keys, which is actually very rare.

I am sure if you think outside the proverbial box and look around you will not only find something that will work well, but could also be an attractive home furnishing.

Something like that should be relatively easy to find at an antique store or auction. 
There are also more modern versions available.  You can get unfinished chests at JoAnn Fabrics. 
I have an allocated drawer, a small 'pirate chest', and other sundry locales for my goodies.

We have a large leather storage ottoman. It doubles nicely as a play bench as well.

Hmm I just have my toys in a bag in my wardrobe.  And my riding crop stood alongside.  But then I haven't got many.

I like the idea of a chest at the end of the bed though.  I have a B&Q (English DIY store) chest that would serve that purpose well but its currently got my printer on it and besides, I have to be careful not to clutter my bedroom too much - my size 14 feet generally find furniture quite often and believe me its never a pleasant experience (worryingly though my head has got used to all the doorframes I've found!).

I have a 1865 steamer trunk..its had a slider drawer in its top at one time..guess I'll just have to make another for it..its nifty..lol

Try checking out a local unfinished furniture store.  You might even find a carpenter to add some sectional dividers to the chest.  Fishing tackle boxes and art/craft cases or even make-up bags can be great for sorting out your gear.

I use a an old stereo cabinet with glass top that lifts up  .. was meant for the turnatable and shelves for receiver/ tape deck  to store my toys since it allow for viewing  for easier access,  and I put teacup hooks on one   side for hanging floggers... when not in use a table cloth and doily is covering  and ornament is placed on top  and being it is on wheels can be moved to a convenient location easily when needed

To the op:

I think my mom has a few of these chests, they're meant as 'end of the bed' chests so they're "tall" and "long" but not very deep. (Definitions about 3.4-4 feet long, by 1.5 feet deep by 2 feet tall). They'd be perfect for what you're looking for.

They make these types of chests all over (at least, in the US) and, like others have said, you can get unfinished ones at crafts stores. If you have a local community of Amish people, you can likely purchase a really well-made one from them as well.

You said you have the tools and know-how but lack the space, does that mean you're in an apartment building? Do you have roof access? Could you go to a local park (before doing this call city hall to make sure it's legal)?


EDIT: Of course, my mom uses the chests to store my dad's old computer games... >.> I've checked. They WOULD be perfect for toys, though, and it wouldn't take much to build or buy shelves for them that would sit on the top.
