Try size 16 *general curses* To the op: I think my mom has a few of these chests, they're meant as 'end of the bed' chests so they're "tall" and "long" but not very deep. (Definitions about 3.4-4 feet long, by 1.5 feet deep by 2 feet tall). They'd be perfect for what you're looking for. They make these types of chests all over (at least, in the US) and, like others have said, you can get unfinished ones at crafts stores. If you have a local community of Amish people, you can likely purchase a really well-made one from them as well. You said you have the tools and know-how but lack the space, does that mean you're in an apartment building? Do you have roof access? Could you go to a local park (before doing this call city hall to make sure it's legal)? EDIT: Of course, my mom uses the chests to store my dad's old computer games... >.> I've checked. They WOULD be perfect for toys, though, and it wouldn't take much to build or buy shelves for them that would sit on the top.
