ORIGINAL: cjenny Some of my darkest fantasies are medical scenes yet I'm genuinely scared of 'those' people. Irrational fear.. Not so irrational. You may be basing it on the idea of a person who is put into a position of trust, and abuses that position. A doctor is the classic 'trust' profession. You presume knowledge and ethics without proof. History is littered with such abusers in the medical profession. There is a higher than average incidence among serial killers. Shipman, Crippen, Marat, Karadzic, Cream, Holmes and many many more. All people who used their profession to access hundreds of victims. Some argument about inherent evil versus the opportunity their work presented, but the result was the same. Most sawbones are ok I suppose, but automatic trust, No thanks.
