What is your daily routine like?  How much rest, work and personal time do you have?  Has your schedule changed lately?

You might want to schedule a check up with your doctor.

Sounds like you have built up what is called a sleep deficit. IOW you're never getting quite enough rest and are starting every day just a little more tired than the day before. Chronic fatigue is bad since your judgement gets worse the more tired you are as well as weakening your immune system.

Get a full nights sleep at least once or twice a week. I mean go to bed when you are sleepy and get up when you naturally wake up, no alarms etc.

Sounds like what they call "burn out" of which exhaustion, mental and physical ,are a symptom.

^^Truth^^

I don't remember what my symptoms where when I was "clinically exhausted" (according to a doctor in the ER). I just remember that I slept less and less until I'd start to hallucinate whenever I tried to go to bed... got sent to the hospital where they gave me a light sedative (low dose of seroquel) and I slept for almost two days straight.

Usually there's no such thing as sleep that your body has to 'make up' for, but if you're fatigued all bets are off. I'd stay try to get a full night's sleep (or more) on the weekend. Even if it's only one, then five hours a day isn't so bad (depending on your age). Right now I'm basically having to do it with three hours and two nights of full rest and it's ok. :)

I agree that you aren't getting enough sleep.  Why not shoot for bed at 11 and get up at 6?  That would give you two more hours, and that makes a big difference.  Instead of a long workout in the early a.m., have a shorter one, and another shorter one during the day.  Skip the early morning news, too, read it later.  Is there truly a reason you have to get up at 5, or is that just what you've programmed yourself to do?

It's sounding like possibly you're a Type-A personality, trying to cram too much stuff into every day.  Learn to prioritize what HAS to be done versus what you WANT to get done.  Catch up on the weekends.  Or, you might have a form of Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder.  Or an Anxiety Disorder.

If the problem is that you CAN'T sleep, then seek professional help.  They can analyze your situation and condition and direct you to the right kind of help.  Don't keep killing yourself, sleep is important!

...it is vitally important you get a serious check up from a doctor. Fatigue along the lines you mention can be an early warning of a bunch of conditions. Most of which can, if treated early, be sorted out......but if left, can be seriously problematic.

You go to school full-time, and work full-time.  Been there and done that.  I don't know if you ever have time between classes, but I would take quick cat-naps in the library or outside on the lawn.  I always waited 'til the last minute to register (chronic procrastinator to this day), so I generally got shitty times for classes.  I sometimes had 2 or 3 hours between classes.

I know you live around Little Rock.  If you're going to UALR, I suggest the 3rd floor of the library (lots of really comfy chairs up there and no one bothers you.  In nice weather, they're are a lot of shaded areas to catch a quick nap.  I also used to go sleep in my car for an hour if I parked in the garage.  Just a few tips for you.
