whis31 -> Valentine's Day (2/6/2009 7:03:13 PM)

Just wondering what everyone is doing to make their Master/Mistress/Dom/Domme day special? this slave has to move her grandmother [sm=angry.gif] on Valentine's Day so she bought a pair of tickets to see Cirque Du Soleil on their opening night [sm=banana.gif]which is Feb 12 in her home town and is taking her Master. as for a gift this slave got Master a matching set of blue and black floggers. The floggers each of two types of leather in them so one is soft and senseal and the other is OH SHIT leather! [sm=crop.gif]

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Valentine's Day (2/6/2009 9:23:12 PM)

Daddy and I don't do anything special for Valentines day. He'll be working and it's a pretty busy day for Mary's so, to not be at work for his schedule would be a potential huge money loss.

He may want to spank flog and fuck me after work, or he may not.

And if we did, I feel it's his job to make my day special, since I am his baby and I believe it's the mans job in our relationship to do the wooing on traditional wooing days.

But please for the love of  Ginger, no cut flowers, I feel cut flowers are a waste of money and sad.

In the past I used to pick out sweet cards and a lil present and present them, and he never took care of the cards and they'd get torn up and ruined and I'd be upset and it'd cause an issue between us, so I don't bother now. He just doesn't put the same value on taking great care of the cards your SO gives you like I do.

i totally disagree. Valentines Day is intended as a special day for those you love.

I hate crowds, and all the resturants are packed that day. So we will just do what we did last year: a quiet family dinner, playing with the um, etc. A relaxing evening at home and exchanging small gifts....

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Valentine's Day (2/7/2009 5:50:04 AM)

his job to make this day special for you?  why not make it special for yourself?

when i was married to my ex, Valentine's Day was just another work day for him (because he worked in a restaurant). and since he was too cheap to make a card or buy a stem to show how much he cares, i made my own cards ...bought my own flowers ...took myself out to lunch/dinner ...plus i made it special for my girls.

Daddy (or my pet) doesn't have to make a suedo-Hallmark card holiday special for me even though He does send me a card and small gift.  i don't expect anything from Him however He does it out of love and appreciation.

whis31 -> RE: Valentine's Day (2/7/2009 6:14:54 AM)

for me Valentine's Day is one of the few days of the year that Master will "allow" his slave to spend her hard earned money on Him. it's the one time he will let me "treat" Him. So this slave goes all out! Master will also do his part in making slave's Valentine specail too, so it goes both ways.

LaTigresse -> RE: Valentine's Day (2/7/2009 6:20:19 AM)

I am one of the least mushy sentimental women you will ever find. I don't celebrate Hallmark holidays. I simply see it as rediculous.

I want to do things to show my affection for people (and visa versa) because I want to, not because some greedy jewelry, candy, card, and flower companies want to make a buck laying a guilt trip on people.

I am always suspicious of people that make a big deal out of February 14th.

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Valentine's Day (2/7/2009 6:23:38 AM)

don't forget - about 8 months from now, it will be Sweetest Day ...another suedo-Hallmark card holiday

LaTigresse -> RE: Valentine's Day (2/7/2009 6:43:19 AM)

Sweetest Day? I seem to have missed that one.

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Valentine's Day (2/7/2009 6:51:08 AM)

it's like Valentine's Day part deux ...flower shops, card companies and stores (especially Walgreens) make a big deal out of it in October.

LaTigresse -> RE: Valentine's Day (2/7/2009 6:54:19 AM)

Well now, don't I feel like an ignoramous! I have honestly never heard of it.

michelleryder -> RE: Valentine's Day (2/7/2009 6:57:09 AM)

Nor have I but maybe it's something we don't have in the UK. Hallmark day or not Valentines day is a special day and we'd never shun it.

kyraofMists -> RE: Valentine's Day (2/7/2009 6:57:40 AM)

We don't celebrate valentine's day....  unless you count going to Lupercalia and him beating the shit out of us  *g*  We did that for several valentine weekends in the past, but he would do that on other days too, so that isn't just reserved for 'holidays'.

The first valentine's we were a family we bought each other gifts, but it was really more of an oh my God we haven't seen each other in months and we are so happy to be together again, so here is a stuffy.  He also gave us our yearly perfume gift on the first valentine together since I was not able to be there for Christmas.

This year I will make his day special be doing what I am told; that doesn't really seperate it from any other day of the year, but it works for us.  [:)]

True 'dat. We made the mistake, some years ago, of deciding to go to Olive Garden for Valentine's Day dinner. 4 hours later, we decided NEVER to do that again. *headdesk*

kyraofMists -> RE: Valentine's Day (2/7/2009 7:01:53 AM)

Valentine's day is the second biggest money making day for restaurants in the US.  The first is Mother's day, another Hallmark holiday.

Well that is something that has not made it to this side of the pond thank goodness.

Here restaurants and bars put up their prices on Valentines Day and the service is never very good as everywhere is packed so we tend to get a nice meal in and cosy up in front of the tv.  The best Valentines night was a couple of years ago. I was working on a major tv show which was being filmed a good 2 and half hour drive from home. We chatted about things and he suggested that we wait until the weekend to celebrate. When I got home expecting to start cooking I found he had dinner in the over, candles lit all over the living room, dining table set with rose petals and chocolates and rose wine in the fridge. Whatever happens in the future nothing wil beat that.

This year he is taking me to meet his parents for the first time so it will be Valentines dinner for 4! Not sure how that is going to work out.

monywildcat -> RE: Valentine's Day (2/7/2009 7:18:57 AM)

I have to work, and Daddy will be at home with the rugmonkeys, so it's not going to be the whole card/candy/flowers thing at Casa Wildcat.  There is NO WAY we are going out to eat, not on that day.  Perhaps I will splurge on dinner out on my next day off?  Hrm, I see steak in our future, along with beer/shots/pool at the local bar.  My kind of romance.  [:D]

my ex MIL used to make a  big deal of it.  but i think its a regional thing...she's in ohio.  we never saw it advertised at all in south carolina, or florida, or here in texas either.

of course steak and bj day is ALWAYS a popular thing.  [;)]

allthatjaz -> RE: Valentine's Day (2/7/2009 11:12:39 AM)

We have celebrated valentines day today because this is an ums free day and because we tend to be pretty unconventional in most of what we do.

We both had a tattoo today. Its the same as our joint brands but been artistically merged in with other tattoos we both have.
Tonight we are taking alginate impressions of his cock and my pussy and we intend to make them into ceramic toys.
I am wearing a beautiful diamond collar that he bought me today and I have my feet up whilst he is cooking me dinner....em is that right?!?[:)]
