There are several threads here on CM where actual people who identify that way explain what they mean.. and don't forget transgendered adds to that mix as well. I'll give you in my experience the differences and what I've seen. As a general rule, TVs tend to have an element of TG in them, that is to say, they wish to be the opposite sex. While they do crossdress, its often not seen as crossdressing, but rather presenting the outward appearance that they truely feel inside. That said, crossdressers tend to be heterosexual males who have no inclination toward being women, nor do they suggest that they are women inside. Its as usual a lot more complicated than that, and likely means something different for everyone person using the terms. For me, there is a distinct difference between crossdressing and being a TV. I suggest you check wikipedia -- they have several articles on the various subjects. The simple difference for me is a CD tends to do that occasionally for whatever reason but continues to live as a heterosexual man. A TV would rather be female -- again, these are my generalizations and might not work for all. quote:
