Ain't none of my business, LIVE by that.

Lookie, nice, you probably saved her from an ass whippin that night, but what about the next night, or next week ?

Human beings are incredibly stupid, ignorant, selfish and self destructive. I refuse to be dragged down by them.

Sounds cold, but it works for me, ain't none of my business.

... you didn't read my post all the way, did you?

I didn't see anything. I heard gun shots and screaming, heard sirens immediately afterward, and had the presence of mind to record the time after I heard the sirens. That was it...

I mean, I called, but you're indicating that I saw stuff that I didn't. o.O

Nice anecdote, though. I would probably have just called the police and went into any local building to ask for help.

EDIT TO ADD: Plus, they weren't terribly interested in my information. I'd assume they were closer to the incident than I was, what with being so far up.

That's always the way it is...."Thank you, good citizen...we'll call you".

Good that you did the right thing :)

Perhaps I should rephrase that. Blow it off. Unless you got specific details like a description of the perps, license number etc., it is a waste of time. If you are able to prevent a crime, and are willing, go for it, but by the time you hear gunshots the bullets have already flown, and the dead are dead. There is nothing you can do.

One of the most important things people need to learn in life is to choose your battles wisely. Risk vs possible good outcome. Size up the opponents and make the choice. If you decide no, then you do. And always remember that you need to look out for number one first, after all if you are dead you ain't talking.

In other words, don't sweat it.
