For sheer evil pain I'd say a fiberglass curtain rod.

Adding rice to the floor to kneel on adds to the pain. i hear Dominants say they wouldn't use a "toy" to inflict punishment because the submissive/slave might enjoy it. i have to say, there is nothing enjoyable when my Master is unhappy with me. He could use the lightest tool in the world on me, and i would still be upset.
