I had a look on the forum search - I couldn't find anything about this.

I was just wondering if anybody knew anything about the health aspects of corset training. Like, how often a girl should wear one to begin with, how tightly it should be laced, how much smaller than her waist her first corset should be, are there any warning signs to watch out for that would require a corsets removal, or signs that corset training will be unsuitable for her at all, what exercises/ dietary changes would benefit her, anything anyone can think of. Also, recommendations of places where good quality corsets can be bought, or reputable sites that can be trusted, and have this kind of info would be good.

I'm an absolute beginner to this, but very eager to try it, so any info is welcomed. If there is already a thread about this, I am sorry, but I did try and look..!

Corsets are fun but they aren't all that healthy. They can and will deprive you of oxygen.

1. How tight should they be worn

Untill you can barely breath. After all, you need to breath.

2. When to take it off?

If you pass out, it needs to come off immediatly so that you can begin to get oxygen to your brain and the rest of your body.

3. Exercise and diets?

Eat healthy. Make sure you get your Vitamin E and your Omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids. Exercise should include a good cardiovascular work out and crunches. This well train your body to have more endurance to oxygen deprovation. You'll also be in the practice of taking short and fast breaths.

In the old days, laxatives were sometimes used because prolonged cinching prevented movement of the bowels. Eat lightly or it will be distressing.

It is hard to breathe deeply if one is cinched too tightly. You can get faint. If you are tightlacing at the Ren Fest I would avoid hot sun and alcohol or you may not be well.

Ribs can bruise if laced too tightly for a long time and you are active.

For daily wear, a corset should feel like an all-day hug - quite snug, yet not distressing. Tightlacing to point of distress is a training activity.

I love how a longline corset laced tightly compresses all the internal organs - when a cock goes in me I feel twice as tight and I feel it all the more. I wonder if it feels tighter for Him? Ooh what about butt plugs??? At same time???

i have a love of corsets, and currently own a classic french waist training one.
I am learning to lace myself at present, as Sir is not always handy.

A google search will provide excellent stuff.
can i add something i read after it was too late for me.

when you put your corset on, after say 10 mins, you will find that you can cope with it being tightened just that little bit more. And by doing this, you can reduce your waist size by 5 inches on first go.
When 'exiting' the corset, do that same process in reverse, loosening, waiting for 10 mins, loosening some more etc etc. This allows your spine, muscles and intestines to gradually adjust, rather than nearly slipping a disk by sudden unsupported spinal column having to cope with the shock.

other than that, you get what you pay for. More so with corsets than other garments i find.

oh, and buy as many as you can afford, your worth it!

Thanks very much for all your replies - I have done a google search as well, but as yuou can't always trust what you find on the internet, I thought I'd find people with more experience at it. I was pretty sure if one person on here said, "Wear it 24/7, even if you faint, it doesn't matter, it's part of the training", (although something less obvious, as I'm not stupid... I just can't think of a better example..!) and it wasn't true, someone else would correct them..

Again, thank you all for the information... I will definitely look up the old thread, and will definitely remember the tip, little1! And you got me wondering now too, sassy... hehehehe
